Since 2009 we have provided social work services to assist our personal injury clients. We offer our clients assistance with a wide range of issues including emotional distress, financial and housing issues, or difficulty accessing care, treatment or support services post hospital discharge.

Where appropriate, the service is provided on referral from a Slater and Gordon lawyer. There is no additional charge to the client, and the service is delivered by a team of highly skilled and experienced social workers who understand the needs of our clients.

OUR HEALTH PROJECTS AND RESEARCH FUND

The Slater and Gordon Health Projects and Research Fund is a philanthropic grants initiative focussed on improvement of care and treatment for people with asbestos related illnesses, occupation caused cancers or people who have suffered a catastrophic injury.

Slater and Gordon will provide $1 million AUD for projects in Australia and £500,000 in the United Kingdom by 2020.

To date, we have also provided more than $1 million AUD in grants from the Asbestos Research Fund for research and improving treatment for people who have asbestos related diseases. We will continue this commitment through the Slater and Gordon Health Projects and Research Fund.

OUR PRO BONO WORK

Ensuring those who need it have access to good quality legal advice.

Each year our lawyers undertake thousands of hours of pro bono work and public interest legal work in Australia. This work is aimed at helping marginalised members of the community; people who have been defamed; people with severe disabilities; charities and indigenous groups.
