Location of PancreasThe Pancreas is located behind the stomach which is deep in the body. It is shaped like a fish and 6 inches long and less than 2 inches wide.
Pancreas Close UpThe pancreas has a common bile duct, Pancreatic duct and is attached to the small intestines.
Pancreas PurposeThe Pancreas produces proteins and sodium bicarbonates.
ConclusionThis is to help understand what important role the pancreas has a part of the function of your body.
Pancreas JuicesBile is produced by the liver and stored in the gall bladder, then joiners the pancreatic juices to empty into the small intestines.
Purpose of Pancreas JuicesThe smell and taste of food as well as the eating of food triggers the bile and pancreas enzymes to mix and be released into the small intestines to neutralize the stomach acids to digest food into smaller pieces.
