What is it?!!??
OThe excretory system is the system that is
designed to get rid of waste that is present only in your blood.
What are the parts of the excretory system!?!!
OThere are four main parts of the excretory system, they are the:
- Kidneys (2) - Ureters (2) - Urinary Bladder - Urethra
Lets Take a Closer Look!
The KidneysO The kidneys are bean-shaped organs that are part of the excretory system
O They are there to filter the blood which
produces urine
Ureters
O We have two ureters because we have two kidneys
O The ureters carry urine from the kidney to the urinary bladder
Urinary Bladder
O The urinary bladder is where the
urine is stored until
it is released as waste
through the urethra
UrethraO It is the tube that carries the urine
from the urinary bladder to the outside of the body
How it works!O The kidney filters the blood of any
un-needed waste which is urineO The urine then goes down the
ureters to the urinary bladderO The urinary bladder stores the waste
until it is releasedO It is then released through the
urethra
