Introduction

Hey, it’s John, I wanted to do a quick intro to Jason! For those who have heard him speak before, you know that he is extremely passionate about what he does. He is just off the charts. I met him through a friend, saw what he did listened to what he explained and I ended up buying this course for my oldest kid. It’s very intriguing and cool, and a way to teach my son about entrepreneurship, doing your own thing. The other thing is its very rare to find opportunities to replace your income. I am very conscious to the fact for a long time out of school I went from making $27,000 to just over $100,000 during my career and I worked in corporate America for 5 years. But at the end of the day it came down to how much I was making per month could dictate my life, right? At $100,000 per yeah break that down to $8300 per month, if I could replace that $8300 per month, I wouldn't need this job. Then I could trade full time or I could travel or anything else I wanted to do. So I was intrigued by this because it is a legitimate way to eventually replace your job income. Of course, it will take a little bit of work, you can’t get something for nothing, but again one of the very few legitimate ways I've seen to replace your income. You just need to out in the

time, find out what they do, put together a product list, get your advertising going on Amazon.. and it’s this kind of turn-key thing that replaces income. There are actually quite a few people I know from our database, clients of ours that have done this, that it's working for them and this is what they do. This way they can trade, and then they have their $4000 - $5000 a month (in some cases ALOT more!) coming in from doing this so they can have the best of both worlds. I am very excited for those of you that have not met Jason. I really do. For whatever reason, I just get Amazon. When it comes to doing Amazon in a specific way I don’t know why, It just clicks with me. I just get it. Meet Matson and Morgan

Back when we first started in March of 2013, two of the first two people to take us up on this offer were Matson and Morgan Magleby. Amazon.com IS a great place to do some online shopping. They have most

everything! Amazon is the MOST trusted as a brand, you know you will

get what you order and it is so convenient! Most people already have their

credit cards on file. I personally have 9 cards on file, that I can one-click

purchase with at a moments notice.

Now.. some little know facts that you may not even realize about Amazon.

You may not realize it but most of Amazon’s products ARE from

third party sellers

Over 50% of the sales on Amazon are 3rd party sellers

They rely on small businesses to sell on there

You may hear a lot of talk about how Amazon has become way over saturated with new sellers and there is just no room to make any money.. The gold rush is over.. but check out this article headline from TECHCRUNCH

All these new sellers on Amazon and we are not even moving the needle… Merchant numbers are still low! I don’t know about you but that excites me! The number of new sellers is so small the supply and demand is sideways. When this happens.. we have an opportunity. The perfect opportunity to get in is BETTER than ever! Amazon is bribbing people like you and I to get started. How are they bribbing us you ask?

It starts with a little known program on Amazon called ”Fullfilment by Amazon” (FBA). Anybody anywhere can sign up for an FBA account. This will then give you an access to an area called seller Central. In here is where you go to put in your private labeled physical products so you can sell them to anybody and everybody on Amazon. Thats just where it starts.

Using FBA, allows Amazon totake, process, ship, pack, processes and ships all orders for you, handle refunds and does all the first level customers support and even takes payment from the customers on your behalf. Then every 14 days you will receive a payout right into your bank account. ”You sell it.. We ship it.”

Most of my customers have never even touched the inventory that they sell on Amazon.com. It goes straight from the private labeller straight to Amazon then straight to your customers.

Customers who buy your products most likely will get free shipping with Amazon Prime. If not that, they will get shipping for free on orders of $35 or more. Specifically if I could show you a wide-open way you could exploit selling on Amazon that is only possible with me… and you feel it’s worth your financial means, ability and time constraints that it’s possible… Will you at least try it?

The Process

1. Find the right product.

2. Find the right type of supplier

3. Get your product on Amazon

4. Get automatic exposure.

SIMPLE! Now, just because it is simple that doesn’t mean there won’t be challenges. Here are some challenges that you will most likely face along the journey:

Sourcing products overseas (learning curve anyone?)

Being a “no-name” brand

Running out of inventory

Have product quality issues

Experience production delays

Getting ”FAKE” negative reviews

Dealing with seller central support. (It’s the worst.. trust me.)

These are all just labor pains.. before the baby. Is it worth it?

Find A Product

It starts with choosing your first product; and ideally A private labeled one

An acceptable profit margin

An “ease to market”

A product gap

The best product is a private labelled product. The manufacture creates the same product as they already have and slap your label on it, instead of theirs. BAM. Your own line of product. When you add this to to Amazon, you will have your very own listing. Your very own product line. Can you imagine telling your spouse, your parents or your kids that you sell your own line of __________ on Amazon.com. It’s just cool!

How do you figure out profit margin?

Take for example this $29.99 exercise bands set. We really like this set and we are going to head on over to Alibaba.com and source it.

So here we are in Alibaba, and as you can see, there are many exercise bands sets. What you do next is you just hit “Contact Supplier” to initiate an email to them letting them know you are interested and asking prices. You can call email or whatever you feel the best way to get in touch with them. As you can see the #3 in the below image is most likely their supplier! You found them right on the first search!

What we do to figure out the profit margin here is head on over right to the Amazon Profit Tool that they provide to us as sellers. In this instance, you can see the “cost subtotal” which is your ”fee subtotal” is -$8.59.

Next, you need to figure out the cost per unit on the product you are looking at, including shipping and handling. For this same example we are going to pretend the exercises band set cost us $10 a set to purchase. (They are WAY less than that).

For this example, the profit margin comes out about 35%. Not bad. Generally we see better than that, but at 35% it isn’t terrible. What about demand? Demand is relative. Ask yourself, how much could you make from one product that sells ”just” 7 units a day?

Back To Demand... Amazon tells you exactly what is in demand.

Categories Now.. you may be asking yourself “How do I know if this product has demand?” It’s simple! Amazon publishes the bestseller ranks of all products in all categories. Every single hour Amazon will tell you what is selling the best in each specific category as well as athe full top 100 list. Even looking through the top 100 products in any given category can help you find poducts that you may be interested in selling.

Amazon publishes every single category that they have and there are over 100,000 categories. If you are a geek like me – you can download the “Browse Tree Guide”.. It shows you each and every category that is available. Take for example the keyword “shovels” here are all the sub-categories:

Ice climbing snow shovels

Camping shovels

Dog waste shovels

Dog shovels sets

Snow shovels

Fireplace shovels

Or the sub-categories for the word “nose”:

Needle nose pliers

Square nose end mills

Bull nose end mills

Swimming nose clips

Nose and ear hair trimmer

And it goes on and on and on!

At this point in time, all we need to be creating is a list of potential products – that may have some demand. In your searching, I am going to suggest you keep a close watch these 3 websites:

These are similar to “deal of the day” type sites. Choxi does about 700 Million dollars a year in sales online and Zulilly over a million. These sites all tap in to 3rd parties sellers. Like I said, just use them for now to gather data and make your lists of potential products.

You can sell here too eventually! Once you build up your brand you can branch out through these outlets.

The real question..

Now that you have created a list of potential products: Can it sell at least a few a day easily?

Are people buying similar products even though they suck?

Is it possible to Woody Allen it? (Woody Allen is attributed to the

quote “80% of winning is showing up!” Just by listing it you can

make sales.)

Consider the following results... Take for example this Spy Pen.

The number 1 slot for the keyword spy pens has a total 13 reviews. They either don’t care or they are brand new. You tell me .. there is a lot of demand for spy pens, but few people to sell them, and no body is selling them right. This is an opportunity.

Baby Earrings Baby earrings are a fantastic example of Product Gap. Here is page 1 in the search, listing number 2. Showing only 38 reviews. This right here is product gap.

Most items on this page have very few reviews. This shows that there is not much competition or you can be brand new and already be relevant. Another example of product gap…

Anti-Frizz shampoo

Shampoo is like a trillion dollar market its crazy how big this is. #4 on all of Amazon for Anti frizz shampoo with only 12 reviews. Either the market is wide open or brand new people can send the right message to amazon and show up really high on search rankings. Either way - there is a product Gap. You can find these product gaps all over the place. There are hundreds if not thousands of them.

Hammocks..

It’s a great market with good products, and great profit margins. Its also a 1 word search term. Check out the number 5 in all of Amazon for the keyword “Hammocks”. It has only 2.5 stars and 13 reviews and people ARE STILL buying it! Isn’t that crazy!

Just look at the math!

The challenge… The hardest it will ever be IS when you only have ONE product. I promise. You won’t be able to take advantage of the “frequently bought together” and you won’t be able to bundle anything. You have no brand yet. This is the beginning.

Where do you find these suppliers? It doesn’t matter where you source from. It can be; United States, China, Japan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Peru, Lithuania, United Kingdom, South Korea, India or anywhere else. A sourcing myth: ”If I want to get up and moving as fast as possible,I should only source from the US right?” FALSE! You can get air express shipping direct from China to Amazon in as little as a week. A soucing myth ”It’s Hard”. FALSE. Can you use sype or email? And go to Alibaba.com? Can you Google search and pick up a phone and call? When looking for a product it is best to start your search in one of three places; Google search, Alibaba search or on Upwork.com.

Getting Your Item Private Labeled What about Branding and Design? Get Your Product On Amazon The technical process is super simple to end up with a listing that looks like this on Amazon.

What you do first is open up an account on FBA. Once in you login to the inside of Seller Central account with the special email address and

Once you do this you will see this scary looking page. Most of this stuff you can ignore. The first thing you put in that filed is Product Name. The next thing you do is put in your images. Key product features, and product description.

Once you have your listing setup, you can create your shipping labels. The shipping labels will download in a PDF and you just send the PDF file to your supplier and they will ship directly to Amazon so you won’t even have to touch the inventory. Completely hands free!
