The day has arrived The PHICDC Global Health Fellowship Program 2018-2019 cohort applications are now open We are searching for talented globalhealth change-makers in six technical tracks Epidemiology HIVPrevention Monitoring amp Evaluation Strategic Information ProgramManagement and Surveillance

Applications are open between January 10 - February 2 2018

The PHICDC Global Health Fellows serve in full-time yearlong stipendfellowship opportunities placed in CDC headquarters Atlanta or CDC ocesoverseas Our current fellows work in more than 15 countries including SouthAfrica Tanzania Zambia and Mozambique Fellows with the guidance fromleading global health experts from the CDC will work on a variety of globalhealth projects while developing the technical and professional skills needed tomake meaningful contributions to todayrsquos global health challenges

Who is Eligible to Apply

Masterrsquos degree or PhD In Public Health from a CEPH accredited school orprogram required prior to the beginning of the fellowship (no later thanSeptember 2018)Completion of the Masterrsquos or Doctorate degree program within the last veyears (no earlier than September 2013)Must be a US citizen or legal permanent resident and authorized to work in theUS

Fellowship Placements

40 Atlanta US based (primarily Atlanta) 60 overseas-basedFellowship assignments are full-time one-year opportunities Fellows may renewor apply for other fellowships but may not exceed three years as a fellowFellows are contractors with the Public Health Institute and are issuedfellowship agreementsFellows receive a stipend allowance Stipends for fellowship placements starting2018 are $48109 for Masterrsquos level candidates and $53137 for Doctoral levelcandidatesIn addition to stipends fellows are provided predetermined allowances in thefollowing categories housing local travel traveltraining and health Amountsvary based on fellowship location and scope of work Actual amounts are sharedupon oer of a fellowship placement

How are Fellows Selected

All applications to the fellowship program will undergo an objective and technicalreview based on the following criteria quality of essay strength of credentials andprevious professional experience Top candidates will be invited to interview with the CDC mentor and team and ifselected matched with the most suitable CDC fellowship assignment
