Officer Reports President General Betty Edwards: Betty reported DRT will meet with the judge in 4 weeks to see what has to be done yet in proving our ownership of the collection at the Alamo Research Center at the Alamo. GLO has had people there recently looking through A-L. We do have a letter of intent from Texas A&M at San Antonio to house our collection, which would also cover the move amongst other items. Custodian General: Arlene introduced one new committee member attending the meeting today. She is Pamela Cochran of the Gonzales Chapter. She also announced the other new member, Nelle Still (Alamo Mission Chapter) who attended last month. Motion #1—Adopted. Arlene presented two types of Texas theme bells that she found, made by a man in Round Rock. He has let her have the bells (on behalf of the Headquarters Committee) to sell for $60 and the committee keeps half as a donation. She has already sold a number of these at the District meetings so far. He has offered to make a bell that is specifically for DRT and she will talk to him about that. Arlene suggested that Headquarters Committee should come up with an Affiliate Member pin to sell. All that is needed is to come up with a design similar to the Associate Member pin and to then get a price quote. She also showed the new pin book which is finished and now for sale through Headquarters Committee for $10. Arlene then brought up the subject of creating a merchandise sign-out procedure, for merchandise being taken out of the Headquarters building to sell at events other than District meetings or convention. Discussion followed and motion made. Motion #2---Adopted Reports Financial: Report filed. Staff: See report. Kelsey reported that homeless people sleeping around the building are still an ongoing problem. Texas Lineage Research: See report.
