Be Cheesy! Get involved!

Elections!

It’s that time of the year to select new officers. We may still have some of the same fantastic officers, but this gives everyone a fair to get involved as much as they want. On Tuesday May 31st we held elections! These are our new officers and position descriptions:

President

Paige Edmiston

The president coordinates meetings, is our main spokesperson and motivator to keep this cheese operation working.

Vice President and Membership Coordinator

Amanda Tran

The vice president assists the president in anything that needs to be done. As membership coordinator, you are the main person to encourage people to join.

Secretary: Rachel Mangan

The secretary takes notes at every meeting to keep things organized and make sure nothing is forgotten. With notes and a monthly newsletter, FeelGood is able to keep on track with events and news.

Treasurer

Salyna Sek

With all of this money we have to keep track of, eventually, we need a person to make sure it’s going to all of the right places, and keeps in contact with anyone that’s bringing in money, either from cheese points or donors and makes sure the money gets used properly.

Campus Liaison / Public Relations

Justin Choi

This is the very much-needed position of talking to important people on campus and off that really make this organization exist.

Historian / Media Management

Helen Cho

If we didn’t have a historian nobody would know what UW FeelGood is up to. The historian takes pictures of all of our events and shares them with everyone she knows. This way she gives people a taste of what they could be a part of.

Events Coordinator / Deli Operations

Vinh Trinh

The activities coordinator organizes events by figuring out dates, times, and locations. As the Deli Operations, you make sure people are signed up and we have a location to sell grilled cheese!

Organic Valley Earth Dinner

On May 3rd, Feelgood and Repair the World joined together to host the first-ever UW Organic

Valley Earth Dinner at Hillel. This event was created to get people interested about where their

food comes from and to appreciate the famers who grow it. Before our presentation, we served

are first ever grilled cheese sandwiches, made with cheese generously donated by Organic

Valley. With a variety of delicious spreads, guests enjoyed their sandwiches while joining in

conversation about food. After a wonderful presentation by Ariana Taylor-Stanley and Amelia

Swinton from the Northwest Farm Bill Action Group, everyone left with full stomachs and thoughts

about wonderful organic food.
