Our classes�have been busy this year.  We are virtually traveling 

the world through art educa�on. Our journey began with the 

crea�on of passports or postcard packs, which we add to at the 

conclusion of each unit. So far we have explored the USA and 

Canada, Central�America and Mexico and we are just beginning 

our tour of Europe! Cultures, colors and design styles, wildlife and 

iconic structures are among the subjects we are learning about.�

�

Students are also crea�ng entries for their sketchbooks each 

week. Some�mes we free draw, other �mes we have drawing 

prompts. This ac�vity not only creates a fun keepsake of their art 

class days but may also encourage a lifelong habit of sketching 

and journaling!�

Advent Prepara�on:  How will you grow in your faith 

this Advent Season?�

Sunday, November 21, there will be a presenta�on a�er the 8:00 AM 

Mass (Approximately 9 AM).  Sister Anita will present ways for 

individuals and families to prepare for Christmas through Advent.  

Children and adults are invited.  You will receive packets with ideas to 

do with children (yours and your grandchildren), to do personally, to do 

with other adults, and as couples.  We will finish no later than 10 AM.  �

Bap�sm prep class is usually offered the third Tuesday of each month in 

Portage.�

Marriages�

For weddings at St. Mary, Portage or St. Mary, Briggsville please make 

arrangements with Fr. Gary at least six months in advance by calling the 

St. Mary, Portage Parish Center at 742�6998.�
