After a wonderful nights sleep at the Saint John Hilton I was ready and raring to go

Today I was going to finally get to ride the Fundy Trail and I was excited I had seen so many photos and heard so many fabulous stories about the trail that I just had to experience it for myself

I had a fantastic breakfast got my bike packed up and headed off towards Moncton

Along the way I was to be meeting up with Roger Mailman and his wife and my buddy Tony Lynch from Moncton together we headed off to meet Brian Stuart and his wife Kim over at the Toys for Big Boys parking lot in Moncton

With Brian riding lead Joe and Roger riding sweep I was taken for a ride that I will never forget

We took highway 2 back towards Saint John

and then wersquod head for Alma and eventually Hopewell Rocks

The morning started off pretty dreary in fact we hit rain about 20 minutes after we left Moncton

In spots the rain was coming down pretty hard but then it would lighten up and almost stop

My riding companions for the day

It kept doing that for about an hour and a half With every second turn wersquod see blue sky then the next thing we knew it was raining again

When we turned on the 114 to head towards Alma it looked like the rain was going to quit but about 5 minutes into it it started to pour again We hit some construction fresh chip seal it was still raining pretty hard and them damned blue skies just kept tormenting us

One turn wersquod be heading for blue sky and the next wersquod be smack in the rain And to top it all off my bike started acting up badly

We were still in the construction zone when we came through this one curve into what truly looked like blue skyhellip yes yes it was big blue sky and it was glorious We had just kept chasing that blue sky and eventually we won From here in the weather was about as picture perfect as you could get and the scenery wasnrsquot half bad either

Anyway now that we were fully under blue sky we had pulled over to discuss my bike I

had a full tank when we headed out and at this point I was already on reserve The bike was sluggish and using fuel like a pig

Brian Stuart is a technician at Toys for Big Boys the man is a genius actually but I donrsquot want his head to swell so donrsquot tell him I called him a genius

Brian did some poking around and figured he knew what was going on with it He expressed we werenrsquot very far away from fuel and not to worry about running out He said hersquod look at the bike later that eveningSo off we headed and about 5 minutes up the road after a lovely set of sweepers and a few hills that we crested that gave us little peaks of what was to come we pulled into

The amazing road

The day was so clear you could see forever it seemed

a look out that provided a simply spectacular view of the Bay of Fundy The sky was so clear you could see little islands off in the distance and it was positively breathtaking

We took photos and reveled in the sunshine for about a half hour Brian expressed that wersquod be having lunch in Fundy where we could also get fuelled up and then wersquod head off to Hopewell Rocks

There is a feeling you get when you are about to experience something that you have always dreamed of itrsquos part dread that itrsquos not going to live up to the image in your head and part excitement that it will I was full blown sure at this point that what I was looking forward to was going to be everything I had hoped for and more

The road was fabulous well maintained with sweeping curves incredible blue sky and very little traffic

We pulled into Fundy at about 115 pm and got fuelled up The town was a zoo We were all hungry and asked one of the locals which place to go for some fish and chips We took his suggestion and ate at a little place called the Fundy Take Out We sat at the picnic tables and devoured our lunches

Pretty soon we were back under blue skies and riding to Hopewell Rocks

When we arrived we were met by our tour guide Paul Gaudet who took us not only through the centre but out to the rock formations themselves

Paul answered our questions and was a wealth of knowledge that truly added a ton of value to the exhibitions and displays He was simply fabulous to deal with and learn from

A rainstorm across the bay

Flowerpot Rocks Display

tidal erosion and The Hopewell Rocks Ocean Tidal Exploration Site was created to show case them and the history of the Rocks as well as the ecosystem The exhibits come in many forms from life-sized sculptures to dioramas and as I said Paul made them come to life

Due to the extreme tidal range of the Bay of Fundy the base of the formations is covered in water twice a day Literally you get to walk on the oceanrsquos floor and see the formations

from ground level at low tide

Mother Nature at her best

People look like ants from the observation deck

Up close you feel like you are in a different world

What a crazy landscape the ocean floor is

After a good 45 minutes in the interpretive centre we spent a good hour down on the

oceans floor looking at the Rocks and I have to tell you pictures DO NOT do them justice but they do more justice than my words can

They are simply one of Godrsquos wondrous creations that really need to be appreciated up close and personal

If you ever find yourself in the region I encourage you to take in the Hopewell Rocks experience and get in on a tour The guides really do bring a ton of value to the whole experience



A crazy place

Pretty soon it was time to head back to Moncton I got checked in at the Crowne Plaza and then took my bike over to Brian Stuarts placehelliplike I said earlier the man is a genius and when he returned my bike was running like it was new again After a good visit and hugs I went back to my hotel for a wonderful nightrsquos sleep

The Olympics of Shame

You know what I donrsquot really usually give a ratrsquos ass for the Olympics Itrsquos all hype and bluster over things that really donrsquot really matter about money that should be spent on better

things wasted on ldquosportsrdquo Massive advertising massive money itrsquos a commercial venture and I abhor it The original spirit of the games was lost decades ago

This time however I am vehemently against the Olympics in Sochi They should not be happening in my opinion My heritage includes Russian I have long felt the ties to that part of the world but as of this year I am ashamed by those ties I am also ashamed by Canadarsquos decision to take part in this Olympics

Part of the language that yoursquove maybe heard surrounding this controversy is ldquoLGBTrdquo That may not be totally common language for some folks and most just assume it means ldquogayrdquo however that is only one part of it LGBT stands for ldquoLesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgenderrdquo Add in the term ldquoHeterosexualrdquo

and you have a series of terms that describe (in a simplified fashion) various peoplesrsquo gender identification andor sexual identity Itrsquos simply a term that is used to describe different kinds of people without reference to race religion nationality or creed

Different kinds of human beings to which ldquoHuman Rightsrdquo should be universally appliedThe human rights crimes that are being committed against LGBT human beings in that part of the world are simply puthellip atrocities We should not be endorsing them in any way shape or form I am absolutely baffled that itrsquos even a question

As long as these kinds of human rights issues exist as long as this level of suffering for ANYONE exists in the world we have no right to be ldquoenjoyingrdquo Olympics in those parts of the world YES it has happened before and Irsquom ashamed as a human being to recognize that Big Business is going to win and itrsquos going to happen again

I am so against the damned games that I will refuse to watch one second patronize one single supporting sponsor or business or feel remotely good for even one athlete Those athletes are among the ultimate examples of greed and self-centeredness that I have ever seen and the fact that these inconsiderate

egotists will be allowed to display MY flag makes me want to puke I donrsquot care how many platitudes they put forth I donrsquot care what excuses they make By attending and participating in these games they are turning their backs on people who are being beaten and killed for simply being who they are Absolutely inexcusable I keep hearing ldquooh but itrsquos their lifelong dreamrdquo REALLY

Was their lifelong dream to participate in sport while people all around them are being treated worse than animals Was it their lifelong dream to endorse a sadistic sick regime that feels itrsquos ok to lie about abuse and even murder their own citizens and then subject citizens of other countries to the constant threat of the same treatment I really hope it wasnrsquot their lifelong dream to celebrate their victories in sport with their (opposite-sex) loved ones while dozens of people around them cannot celebrate with their (same-sex) loved ones because they could be imprisonedhellip for simply caring about another human being

As bikers we constantly kvetch about ldquobeing individualsrdquo and ldquonot being part of the herdrdquo and ldquostanding up for our rightsrdquo We celebrate individuals and those who are brave enough to refuse to ldquofit inrdquo and those who shake their fist at the status quo and refuse to be forced into pigeon holes We bitch and whine and moan that our governments make too many rules and try to control our lives Guess whatrsquos going on over there Same shit BIGGER PILE

Does your government threaten to imprison

you because of whom you date Do they allow citizens to beat you in public because of your personal preferences What if they made it illegal to ride a motorcycle talk about motorcycles or be associated with anyone who is associated with motorcycles Would we stand up then and refuse to allow itYes So reallyhellip why arenrsquot we standing up now and saying NO

So NO to intolerance hate and lies Say no to laws that try to control who a person IS inside Say no to our country endorsing those laws and governments who create them I encourage you to say NO publicly just like you would if it were another helmet law or another noise bylaw or anything other RELATIVELY TRIVIAL BY COMPARISON event that yoursquove yelled or screamed about

People are being beaten killed imprisoned and held emotionally at ransom because of how they FEEL INSIDE

I say NO to the Sochi Olympics refuse to endorse the supporting sponsors refuse to spend money on Sochi merchandise and refuse to be told to ignore it

It takes some guts I know to admit to those around you that you feel that the LGBT humans of this world are worth your attention and that you support them in their right to live the way they want to live but damn these are EXACTLY the things we want for ourselves

Put on your big boy or big girl pants and stand up and SAY NO TO SOCHI No matter

what your personal views are on sexual preference this is about the right of a human to be human itrsquos about personal rights being mandated by governments in order to further that governmentrsquos financial goals

The shame of our nation for being a part of these games will long outlast any personal shame you feel I personally am very afraid of what these draconian laws will mean for the athletes and visitors in Sochi this year I am horribly certain that innocent people are likely

I support the rights of LGBT humans all over the world to be who they are when they want where they want how they want I support of those friends and family I have that are not ldquothe usual suspectsrdquo to live their lives as they wish and give them my love and support

As a veteran myself I honestly dont get the issue of Christmas versus Remembrance Day This is the first year Ive seen so much posted about it and just dont understand the concern I can understand the desire by many (myself included) to defer Christmas advertising etc until as late as possible but if a business starts pushing Christmas in October I will get upset because its too damned early not because its before Remembrance Day Canajun

I am interested in starting up a Women in the Wind (WITW) motorcycle chapter within Regina for lady riders and looking to find others who may have interest in joining as well To read about the history of WITW and see where other chapters are located the official national website is here httpwwwwomeninthewindorg This national motorcycle club has several chapters across Canada including Saskatoon Membership is open to all lady riders all makes and models of motorcycles and all levels of experience This is more about a bunch of ladies uniting to ride and socialize together

Sometimes you just take things for granted Living in southern Saskatchewan seeing bikes around is just another part of traffic Bikes are everywhere as we try to get the most of our short riding season We run ad campaigns reminding cage drivers to be on

the look out for us We are here to share the road so move over Here in little old Moose Jaw it is not uncommon to see at least one bike per block in traffic

We all dream of living somewhere we can ride year around or at least what we would consider a long riding season I cant say the same when I travel though I know that there are millions of people in LA but I expected to see a lot more bikes then I do when I travel there

Bikes are a rarity something that grabs your attention and not just because it is a nice bike but just because it is a bike I can now say the same about NYC after travelling to the Big Apple Millions of people in a real confined area but as I traveled out side of Manhattan to Queens Brooklyn and Bronx I expect to see bikes - lots of bikes but I found nothing

The handful of bikes I did see were out of state riders paying their respected to the fallen at the Twin Towers Like its West Coast rival

and Huston Texas bikes are not a prevalent as one would think I can honestly say I saw more bikes riding around here on our first day of snow then I did in a week in NYC

Im sure that there are lots of bikes out there Bars and hang outs that cater to the biker way of life rows of bikes backed to curb as good friends share stories of the road share a few pints share the brotherhood

I guess what I am saying is not to take for granted the things that have become the normalcy Life is passing us by Sure we have shaved two minutes off of our favourite ride but when was the last time we stopped at that turnout and looked to see why it was built there

Support our Veterans Day North Battleford Saskatchewan

As the executive members of the Canadian Legion of Riders met to discuss possible events to support Belt Drive Bettyrsquos military challenge We decided that the event should incorporate how to get people to show up and donate $1000 towards a vote for supporting our riding club with the proceeds going to the charities of Belt Drive Bettyrsquo choice This was Belt Drive Bettyrsquos challenge to 84 military riding clubs across Canada There was also the added incentive that the club that raises the most votes would receive a Johnny Pag Motorcycle We felt the best way to receive the $1000 donation was to give back to the community for the whole family to enjoy an event Some of the executive members had watched a stunt rider at another event and thought he would draw people in to see him (Justin King) perform

We also thought that the event should have things for kids to enjoy (Astro bouncy house and Krizzy art face painting)

Also for the $1000 donation we the CLR would feed each donation with breakfast in the morning and burgers in the afternoon We the CLR also have amazing support from local businesses that are extremely generous when donating to our riding club The items they give our club are easy to put up for

Also due to our clubs activities the Royal Canadian Legion has also launched a riding club for each branch across Canada and decided to support our event and launch their riding club The head of Saskatchewanrsquos Legion showed up and spoke at our event

They said that Royal Canadian Legion Riders club was modeled after our riding club To

join their club you have to be a Legion member and then a motorcycle enthusiast To show their appreciation if you were a member of the Legion and our riding club members received membership patches for the Royal Canadian Legion Riders Club

Along with all of the activities going on there was also a show and shine for the public to see some great looking bikes and cars from our community I watched some of the riders tell kids to sit on their bikes so mom or dad could get pictures of them

For the day the Canadian Legion of Riders really wanted to say thanks to the community for always being there to support our events We the Canadian Legion of Riders also want-ed to support Belt Drive Bettyrsquos cross Canada Challenge for military riding clubs and show our support for her The Canadian Legion of Riders is an independent non-profit riding organization and we are separate from the Legion and their newly formed Royal Cana-dian Legion Riders We the Canadian Legion of Riders are proud to support our Veterans and our local Legion Branches

Kawartha Lakes Police Chief John Hagarty - Bikers dont belong in Remembrance Day Parades laying wreaths wearing biker attire

Some people should not be allowed to hold a position of authority because of their abuse of that authority and I rank Police Chief John Hagarty of Kawartha Lakes among them

Here is a quote from that piece A group of bikers wont be allowed to take part in a ceremony honouring war veterans for the second year in a row in Kawartha Lakes Ontario The local police chief feels the groups participation is odd and that the biker attire would stand out against the backdrop of cadets and military uniforms

For a second year in a row the police chief has denied the Kawartha Lake Charity Riders the right to lay a wreath at the cenotaph while wearing their biker attire

He put the ultimatum to the Royal Canadian Legion again - its either the bikers or me

For the second year in a row the Royal Canadian Legion Sir Sam Hughes Branch 67 capitulated and the Kawartha Charity Riders out of respect and deference agreed to silently watch the procession instead of being a part of it

I am disgusted with the police chief who refuses to speak with me

I am sad that the Legion chose to cow tow to this arrogant man

It has been suggested that we should be suing the police chief - there are no legal precedents that I know of that would allow one to sue him for his personal beliefs and opinions

Maybe he could be sued as a bully because that is what he appears to be

However I do feel that it is an abuse of his authority

The only way this situation is ever going to get resolved is for the Mayor Ric McGee of Kawartha Lakes to take his police chief to task and make him apologize to the Legion and the Kawartha Lake Charity Riders

This police chief is entitled to his personal opinion but is not entitled to infringe on the rights of anyone he is sworn to serve and protect and by telling the Legion its them or me - he has become a bully of the lowest kind

It is a travesty that all Canadians who want to lay a wreath at a cenotaph are not allowed to

This man is not the moral or the fashion police

and should be put in his place by someone

I think there are two things that we in the riding community can and must do

The first is to start inundating the Mayors office the Police Chiefs office and the Sir Sam Hughes Branch 67 of the Legion with emails and letters expressing our outrage and disbelief

The second thing is to begin a defense fund It is high time we start legally working to protect our rights as citizens of Canada

I propose a national organization called the Canadian Riders for Justice amp Equality

As I pay homage to our veterans today - all of our veterans I wonder what they would think if they knew this is how the citizens they fought to protect the rights and freedoms they fought to protect were being treated and what they would want us - the citizens of Canada to do about it

I am writing to you to let you know that Sir Sam Hughes Branch 67 of the RCL in Ontario is undergoing some struggles with the local police chief John Hagarty

I spoke last year with all involved except the

chief as he refused to speak with me hence I have knowledge of this entire situation

From previous articles in 2012 and this video it is understood that the police chief feels it is disrespectful for bikers to wear their gear and participate in the parade or in laying wreaths at the Cenotaph

By gear I refer to patches vests chaps etc

He has expressed that it is his personal feeling and that he as Chief of Police wont attend if bikers are allowed to The Legion fears repercussions from he community if the police chief does not attend

The situation at hand is not one involving a 1 club this is a charitable riding group called the Kawartha Charity Riders

The Legion has felt like they are caught in the middle here

They are just as wrong in this situation as the chief is in my personal and humble opinionThey should have stood for the rights that our veterans fought and our Armed Forces continue to fight for

They should have told the police chief that his attitude around attire is wrong minded and that paying respects is something that is not only open to all but encouraged

I ask you this Brad - can someone please find out what would happen if the Royal Canadian Legion Riders wanted to lay a wreath and participate in the parade

Would the local Legion have had to stand up

to chief Hagarty and defended their ownWould it not hinder the growth of the new Royal Canadian Legion Riders of which I am an honorary member if people found out they were not welcome to wear their riding attire

I have started a petition over the police chiefs conduct and have filed a complaint but I also believe the local Legion should have stood up to the chief and defended their fellow veterans and citizens right to lay a wreath and participate in an open and public display of respect

I think the Legion owes the Kawartha Charity Riders an apology as does the chief

Lest We Forget Is Changing To Forgotten

Theres an importance for remembering why you are able to own a Samsung S4 Mini with unlimited texting that you can wear your Jordans or drive your Camaro isnt because Mom and Dad bought it for you or perhaps because you saved for these things yourself We are sadly becoming accustomed to getting quick fixes for things to repair themselves on their own yearning for instant gratification and easy ways out As a result being appreciative to those who risk their lives whether they are military law enforcement firemenwomen or any sort of security or emergency services personnel is rapidly depleting in our society These people are being forgotten about feeling unappreciated and at length are so frustrated with the lack of support services to help them they take their own lives

I have developed an online library filled with websites books workbooks visuals videos music photos articles I write for Tactical News Magazine International that is released out of Germany and much more For peace of mind it is not another talk site and have taken into consideration the military culture most notably of not talking about it I have taken the leadership role to finally exclude opportunities for jabs stereotypes negativity rants and insecurities that continue the toxic cycle of stigma discrimination sexism racism grudges and anything else imaginable It has content for family members youth and those who serve in any color of uniform One of my main targets is to show visual support to those who have been suffering from PTSD for decades This was also designed for those who are not

able to visit a local library because of PTSD andor do not know where to begin searching online

Taking the lead of being the example of Strength Behind The Uniform I am only a single 27 years old with no dependents of my own I am someone who has been doing mental health awareness in schools for nine years and also drive a motorcycle I am an official Supporter of the Veterans Motorcycle Riding Club Iron Warriors and drive an hour to see them where I am not in the same city I drove to Toronto on my bike from New Brunswick to watch the Highway of Heroes mural be re-painted after it was vandalized I was an air cadet for six years My grandfather and his siblings served in WWII My medical did not allow me to join the forces so this is how I am helping out my country

What I am looking for are bike groups who recognize PTSD andor Mental Health Awareness Where the riding season is over for 2013 I am starting to take submissions next Spring I wish to have the name of YOUR motorcycle groupclub and the number of participants registered

in your event gathering relay fundraiser or whatever you are holding If you fundraise for Breast Cancer and still recognize mental health awareness you are eligible If you arent a veterans bike group you are eligible If you dont ride a motorcycle and want to help out

with articles for the magazine you are also welcome

Information will be collected and put into the Database on my website which will be acting as a visual aid to those suffering in silence the most I have had patches made in England and if you wish to order some you can order them to fundraise for YOUR charity I do not get paid to do this project or to write the articles for TNMI This is a selfless hobby of mine My project is strictly about awareness and about remembering those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice My free service gives information on how to deal with stigma practice assertive communication and ways to feel empowered Arguing fighting or being aggressive when dealing with discrimination does

The last of the leaves are still hanging onto their branches with a tenacity dogs envy

The wind blows this way amp that trying its best to dislodge them but it is of little use amp the rustling sound seems to intensify as if to prove something known

only to Mother Nature

The grass is wet amp slippery underfoot now amp ought to have been cut one last time had the rains not moved in

The mud is everywhere Thick heavy sticky amp treacherous amp that is surprising as only a few weeks ago it seemed as hard as rock

Cold beers have given way to hot rye barbeques to crockpots filled with stew or soups that make the house smell wonderful amp stomachs growl in anticipation

Thats about all that growls now except perhaps the dogs when dreaming

Bikes been parked amp is maybe waiting on a few little adjustments maybe its been cleaned dried amp all that other stuff done to it

Thoughts move to other things as well

mundane things like firewood or house renovations

Or maybe just the hockey game amp an easy chair

And as the first snowflakes begin to waft slowly but seriously towards the ground there is a dismal feeling in the air a melancholy amp if one listens very carefully they just might be able to hear the heavy sighs from all the riders regretting not taking that one last ride of the yearcombined with realizing all the stuff they didnt get done before winter because of those last few rides

Motorcycle Riding Tip Having An Escape Path

Motormans Tips Tricks and TechniquesI was recently asked about how to avoid one of the most frequent types of motorcycle accidents (the vehicle that turns left in front of you violating your right of way and what can you do about it)

This is a tough one I am not trying to avoid the question but the best answer is it depends on the situation

If for instance you are driving on a two land road approaching an intersection where you spot a vehicle that you believe may pull out in front of you

First you should be covering your brakes whenever there is a possibility that another vehicle may violate your right of way

For instance if you are north bound and the vehicle is southbound and about to make a left hand turn the best thing may be to first brake hard then release the brakes and swerve to your left going around the back of the vehicle Of course if you are going slow enough to stop do so and avoid the swerving maneuver

A good idea is to practice the brake and swerve maneuver in a parking lot so that when this situation arises you will know what to do

In this same situation you are on a four or more lane road with a busy intersection you may have only one choice That would be to stop prior to hitting the vehicle as swerving to the left could cause a head on collision with oncoming traffic and swerving to the right could cause a collision with a vehicle going the same direction with you

In other words if there is an escape path make sure you turn your head and eyes to that escape path

Never become target fixated on the left turning vehicle or you will surely hit it There is no hard and fast rule on this situation The best thing to do is practice your braking

Concentrate on the front brake Practice braking from 20 30 to 60 or 70mph in a controlled environment such as a deserted road or parking lot

If you always ride at higher speeds practice braking at those speeds In a panic situation you will always revert to your training If

you never train you will only have panic and dumb luck to rely on Practice practice practice Practice is the key

The Santa Ride for the Local Holiday Program is on Sunday Nov 17th

Starting once again at the Legion branch 594( HOWARD AVE) for a wonderful $700 breakfast buffet being served from 9am-11am

Jethro Tull performs Thick as a Brick IampII

Last week Ellen and I made a pilgrimageover to Winnipeg to catch the current Jethro Tull concert which is a 40th year anniversary performance of the original 1972 ldquoThick As A Brickrdquo album along with a performance of the 2012 released album ldquoThick As A Brick 2rdquo both in their entirety I might add

This was only my sixth Tull concert andI must say that I have never been disappointed in their performance Sure Ian Anderson canrsquot quite reach all of the high notes that he could 40 years ago but every one of the 80 to 100 shows that they play on tour every year are sheer magic

Jethro Tullrsquos 1972 ldquoThick As A Brickrdquo was a revolutionary 45-minute piece of progressive rock that was a worldwide success and it remains as impressive as

ever The fact that Anderson and his excellent band - bassist David Goodier keyboardist John OrsquoHara drummer Scott Hammond guitarist Florian Opahle and backup vocalist Ryan OrsquoDonnell ndash

are able to perform it so well speaks volumes for their dedication and talent

As an encore Jethro Tull enthusiasts were treated to a ten-minute rendition of the hugely popular Tull classic ldquoLocomotive Breathrdquo

GOD HAS A SENSE OF HUMOR

A woman received a call that her daughter was sick She stopped by the pharmacy to get medication got back to her car and found that she had locked her keys inside

The woman found an old rusty coat hanger left on the ground She looked at it and said I dont know how to use this She bowed her head and asked God to send her HELP Within 5 minutes a beat up old motorcycle pulled up A bearded man who was wearing an old biker skull rag The man got off of his cycle and asked if he could help

She said Yes my daughter is sick Irsquove locked my keys in my car I must get home Please can you use this hanger to unlock my car He said Sure He walked over to the car and in less than a minute the car was open She hugged the man and through tears said Thank You SO Much You are a very nice man

The man replied Lady I am NOT a nice man I just got out of PRISON yesterday I was in prison for car theft The woman hugged the man again sobbing Oh thank you God You even sent me a Professional

Love this policeman

A police motorcycle police officer stops a driver for shooting through a red light The driver is a real bastard steps out of his car and comes striding toward the officer demanding to know why he is being harassed by the Gestapo

So the officer calmly tells him of the red light violation The motorist instantly goes on a tirade questioning the officerrsquos ancestry sexual orientation etc in rather explicit offensive terms

The tirade goes on without the officer saying anything

When the officer finishes writing the ticket he puts an ldquoAHrdquo in the lower right corner of the narrative portion of the ticket He then hands it to The lsquoviolatorrsquo for his signature The bloke signs the ticket angrily and when presented with his copy points to the ldquoAHrdquo and demands to know what it stands for

The officer says ldquoThatrsquos so when we go to court Irsquoll remember that yoursquore an arseholerdquo

Two months later theyrsquore in court The lsquoviolatorrsquo has a bad driving record with a high number of points and is in danger of losing his licence so he hired a lawyer to represent him

On the stand the officer testifies to seeing the man run through the red light

Under cross examination the defence attorney asks ldquoOfficer is this a reasonable facsimile of the ticket that you issued to my clientrdquo

Officer responds ldquoYes sir that is the defendantrsquos copy his signature and mine same number at the toprdquo

Total RebuildA friend of mine recently told me that he had been given an old 1960s Harley-Davidson Panheadmotorcycle by a family friend who took a shine to Christoff and thought hersquod be placing his pride and joy into

the hands of a worthy rider

Now thatrsquos the good news The bad news Most of it is in boxes and there was a suggestion that some parts are missing which simply adds another level of difficulty

And considering my buddy is mechanically inclined but without any experience wrenching on motorcycles Irsquom thinking he wonrsquot need to be going out and buying insurance any time soon

Am guessing hersquod best be saving up for the parts he will be needing during the rebuild

I Googled 1960s Panheadrsquos and after doing a little research online it became apparent that when running they are an awesome looking

machine but it sounds like they can be a little temper mental

The only person I know who had one carried a tool kit everywhere he rode and thankfully he was experienced so the roadside pit stops sessions usually resulted in him getting home regardless of the noises emanating from the engine and the oil splashing on everything within a six foot radius

With any luck Christoff will get this lsquoprojectrsquo underway in the next month or so and I am sure his experience will provide some good material for future articles in the meantime I have promised him lots of prayer

As we had talked about this rebuild project I couldnrsquot help but think back on my own life and draw the comparison of a ldquoSpiritual Rebuildrdquo in my own life

Wow did God ever have to start from ldquothe ground uprdquo with me Pretty much just took the frame my physical body and replaced everything inside New heart soul and mind

In our ldquoOwnerrsquos Manual for Liferdquo (bible) we read a verse in the New Testament Itrsquos found in the book of 2nd Corinthians chapter 2 and verse 17 ldquoThis means that anyone who belongs to Christ has

become a new person The old life is gone a new life has begunrdquo

Wersquore talking a total rebuild here folks and God has offered everyone the opportunity to be rebuilt from the inside out What you canrsquot see inside will be a remarkable and miraculous SUPERNATUREAL change And that will translate into an outward appearance of joy peace hope and purpose unlike anything you have ever before experienced

It kept doing that for about an hour and a half With every second turn wersquod see blue sky then the next thing we knew it was raining again

When we turned on the 114 to head towards Alma it looked like the rain was going to quit but about 5 minutes into it it started to pour again We hit some construction fresh chip seal it was still raining pretty hard and them damned blue skies just kept tormenting us

One turn wersquod be heading for blue sky and the next wersquod be smack in the rain And to top it all off my bike started acting up badly

We were still in the construction zone when we came through this one curve into what truly looked like blue skyhellip yes yes it was big blue sky and it was glorious We had just kept chasing that blue sky and eventually we won From here in the weather was about as picture perfect as you could get and the scenery wasnrsquot half bad either

Anyway now that we were fully under blue sky we had pulled over to discuss my bike I

had a full tank when we headed out and at this point I was already on reserve The bike was sluggish and using fuel like a pig

Brian Stuart is a technician at Toys for Big Boys the man is a genius actually but I donrsquot want his head to swell so donrsquot tell him I called him a genius

Brian did some poking around and figured he knew what was going on with it He expressed we werenrsquot very far away from fuel and not to worry about running out He said hersquod look at the bike later that eveningSo off we headed and about 5 minutes up the road after a lovely set of sweepers and a few hills that we crested that gave us little peaks of what was to come we pulled into
