• Based on the original comic strip Boondocks, Two young brothers (Huey and Riley) move away from there birth city to live with their irascible grandfather out in the suburbs. With one brother being socially and politically motivated and the younger brother a stereotypical black youth who likes rap music and culture etc Biting socio-political commentary ensues when they meet a whole cast of crazy exaggerated characters set in a mainly white middle upper class neighbourhood.

Structure

• The show doesn’t feature a main plot apart from the fact they the episodes are showing how wild their daily lives are in this new neighbourhood.

Language

• Strong language is used throughout. – The racist “N” word is used throughout and is not

censored in both the TV air and the uncut unlike other inappropriate words.

– Uncle Ruckus: Oh, there was three of them. Two black nigga men and one black nigga woman. Oh, they each had big black lips, big black nostrils and a big black attitude problem.
