For Enablers Ensure alignment of approaches:

- vertically (with vision, mission, strategy) & - horizontally (with other relevant approaches).

All stakeholders addressed; Provide history of how the approach was

developed, how it works, improvements & lessons learnt;

Focus on sustainable improvement; Include how approaches are measured & reviewed

for effectiveness & efficiency; Add examples of benchmarking with others; Specify extent of deployment.

For results Comprehensive scope of measurements; Appropriate segmentation; Include measurements which are important to

stakeholders; Provide rationale for fixing targets; Causality analysis where targets not met/ negative

trends; Sustained good performance - 3 to 5 years; Compare with others; Effective use of graphics.

Applicable to Entire Document Pages per criteria - commensurate to weightage; Demonstrate with examples; Highlight best practice(s); Statements should be precise. (Not vague and

generic); Bring reality into the submission document; Write in first person so that the assessor ‘warms’ to

the organization. Avoid acronyms and jargon. Ensure accuracy of information and data; Can use footnotes to list the evidence.

Submission document be: neat, clear, well presented, comprehensive and uncomplicated; easy to understand.

Tells story in a way that is recognizable to people who work there;

Shows organization in the best, truthful light. Engages assessors; No/ very few surprises for assessors during site visit.

1. Lack of commitment of leadership;2. Lack of involvement of Leaders and Managers;3. Lack of understanding that model can be used to

operate the business;4. Lack of awareness of benefits of implementing the

model;5. Expecting quick results/ solution to all our problems6. Lack of understanding that Enablers cause results 7. Inability to enthuse all people within the

organization to adopt the model;
