With most books, once you have read them you know the story and you are no longer surprised by its content during future reads. With God’s Word this is not the case. Every time you open it up, wisdom is gained. Friends, we would all do well to spend a little more time not just reading, but studying this amazing book. It has so much to say for us today. In fact, when I was little I heard someone explain the Bible as being God’s “Basic instructions before leaving earth.” Why would we not give this book a great amount of our time and attention? When people ask me what my favorite book is I always tell them I enjoy reading all dif- ferent types of books; books that are religious, educational, serious, and thrilling. But then I tell them that there is only one book I continue to go back and read again and again and that’s the most important book ever written. Yes, the B-I-B-L-E is the book for me! What about you? That’s the Book for Me By Justin Morton

While growing up, reading was not something

I particularly enjoyed doing. However, over

the course of my life, my love for reading has

grown tremendously. Now reading is almost

always a part of my daily activities. I will admit

that I enjoy reading books on a wide range of

topics. However, there is one book I like to

read that stands high and above all other

books I’ve read. In fact, it is the one book I

continue to go back and read time and time

again. Yes, I’m talking about the B-I-B-L-E.

The Bible is unlike any other book I have ever read and for good reason. Unlike the

other books I enjoy reading, the Bible is the only one which has been inspired by God

(2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21). There is no greater author than the very author of the

universe. The Bible is His word to us and no matter how many times I read it, I always

learn something new. With most books, once you have read them you know the story

and you are no longer surprised by its content during future reads. With God’s Word

this is not the case. Every time you open it up, wisdom is gained.

Friends, we would all do well to spend a little more time not just reading, but studying

this amazing book. It has so much to say for us today. In fact, when I was little I heard

someone explain the Bible as being God’s “Basic instructions before leaving earth.”

Why would we not give this book a great amount of our time and attention?

When people ask me what my favorite book is I always tell them I enjoy reading all dif-

ferent types of books; books that are religious, educational, serious, and thrilling. But

then I tell them that there is only one book I continue to go back and read again and

again and that’s the most important book ever written. Yes, the B-I-B-L-E is the book

for me! What about you?

Be Doers of the Word

(James 1:22)

The Bible is His word to us and no matter how many times I read it,

I always learn something new.
