Transition as you state stats from previous slide to further substantiate Transcript: We are no longer in a PC only type of environment, and Mobility is a really key driver in this segment. Some of the other driving factors for this change are around software applications getting delivered through the Internet and flexibility of deployment scenarios so we now have cloud and on-prem scenarios. But from a mobility perspective, we've really seen some pretty staggering statistics lately. For instance, by the end of 2010 there were 3.6 billion mobile devices available, and half of these have been Internet capable, which of course is a dramatic shift from feature phone to smart phones, and really driven by the consumerization of smart phone to some degree, but also much more smart phones available in enterprise these days. That, of course, was driven with the iPhone initially and the Android subsequently. Some statistics around Android is that in December last year, 300,000 Android devices were activated each day, and that was up from 200,000 each day in August, so obviously huge, huge growth there. Another little tidbit of information is around mobile penetration. In 2014, Gartner expects that to be at 90% of the worlds population, essentially 6.5 billion mobile connections. Then, of course, another trend feeding into this post-PC era is the whole tablet development, which started off with the Apple iPad but now with Android and others being available also is a fast growing market. And we're expecting over 100 million units by 2012 having shipped. Then finally the last data points there are the Mac penetration is increasing. We're expecting that by the end of this year, there will be a 12% marketshare combined of Apple Macs as well as iPads. And this year we've seen that 70% of new college students are bringing Macs to educational institutions. That's up about 10-15% from a year ago. And of course, all these folks will be eventually in the work force. So that again shifts the PC over to various other devices. I'm sorry, my mouse stopped working. There we go. Author’s Original Notes: The powerful combination of mobile smartphones and tablets, innovative software applications delivered through the Internet, and the flexibility of on-premises versus cloud-based ownership models is bringing an end to supremacy of the PC. A Universe of Devices for Collaboration The impact of the growth of mobile devices cannot be overstated. Feature phones have long been popular, but with the introduction of the Apple iPhone and the Google Android mobile OS, a new category of devices designed for accessing the Internet and collaboration appeared almost overnight. The market penetration statistics are simply amazing: By the end of 2010, 3.6 billion mobile devices had been purchased and of these 1.8 million are capable of accessing the internet. By 2013 Gartner predicts Mobile Devices Become the Most Popular Web Access Device Gartner predicts that by 2014, there will be a 90% mobile penetration rate and 6.5 billion mobile connections Google recently revealed that the company was activating more than 300,000 Android phones each day (Dec 2010). This is up from 200,000 in August and 100,000. Media tablets, including the Apple iPad, are forecast to ship more than 103.4 million units by 2012 with variants of the Apple iPhone OS, Android OS, MeeGo and WebOS (see "Forecast: Connected Mobile Consumer Electronics, Worldwide, 2008-2014"). Tablet PCs running Windows 7 OS will be an also-ran in the competition. iPad + Mac saleswill be ~12% PC Market Share, Says Goldman hardware analyst Bill Shope who argues tablets should be considered part of the PC market, in which case Apple’s worldwide PC market share would rise to 12% this fiscal year, from 4.4% at present. IDC and Gartner Report Q4 2010 PC Sales Declines in U.S. Popularity of Tablets and Android OS Devices, Partly Responsible 70% of new college students are bringing Macs with them to school, according to a Global Equities Research analyst Trip Chowdhry. The figure comes in relation to his downgrading of Microsofts stock, which caused shares of the software giant to fall 2%. Here are the details: 70% up ~10 -15 percent from a year ago. “Our research is indicating that Microsoft is unable to connect with the new generation of users,” Chowdhry wrote, IDC and Gartner Report Q4 2010 PC Sales Declines in U.S. Popularity of Tablets and Android OS Devices, Partly Responsible *Gartner Highlights Key Predictions for IT Organizations and Users in 2010 and Beyond

The Cisco UC Application solution provides integrated rich presence Information to help streamline workflows and realize the productivity potential of unified communications Contact availability is automatically generated and updated dynamically using information collected from a variety of sources, including user input through the desktop or mobile client, phone, calendar and WebEx Meeting system. Always-on, network based presence – can show user availability state even if user is not connected to client (Unified Presence) You can immediately see who is offline, available, busy, on the phone, or in the do-not-disturb state. Customized availability states, such as "in a customer meeting" can be created to provide added context, and you can let others know how you prefer to be contacted. These capabilities help reduce communication delays and result in faster decision making and enhanced productivity. With Cisco UC Applications presence information is published to a variety of applications and devices so you can benefit regardless of whether you are using a UC client, Microsoft application, web application or a mobile device. Cisco presence and instant messaging are based upon based on the Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP). XMPP was popularized by Jabber Inc which Cisco acquired in 2008. Cisco Presence and IM federate (or exchange presence information and instant messages) between organizations that are both running Cisco Presence and IM solutions or Microsoft Office Communications Server (inter-domain and intra-domain federation with OCS), Microsoft Lync, IBM Lotus Sametime, Jabber Extensible Communications Platform. Federation with the GoogleTalk, AIM, AOLservice is also natively supported. Cisco presence and instant messaging can be deployed on-premises or on-demand via Software-as-a-Service. We have a tight integration with Microsoft’s key desktop applications such as Outlook, Office, and SharePoint. You don’t have to leave your application to see your contact’s availabilities or to initiate a conversation with them. We light up the presence bubbles for your contacts within the applications. You can initiate Click to Call and Click to IM directly inside the applications. We support Office 2003, 2007, and 2010 and various web browsers. Cisco UC Application capabilities can be accessed from common desktop applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Sharepoint, web browsers and other Office applications. Solution Summary: Our Web UC SDK will provide 3rd parties, customers and partners with the ability to build Cisco UC Capabilities into any web application. Customers can build pervasive UC into their existing web based line of business applications in order to increase collaboration and productivity. It will enable us to improve the stickiness of Cisco UC and also, because this is a browser based product, our device reach SDK First Release Capabilities Include: Provides a VOIP SDK based on Cisco Web Communicator for Quad Provides a Web UC reference application that supports CAXL, VOIP, and WebEx working together Includes a reference application (and source code) that demonstrates use and power of the Web UC SDK Key to the success of the SDK: Simplicity and accessibility SDK is easy to use and that there is a low barrier to entry, SDK is free to download from CDN. Cisco Jabber for Android lets you make and receive calls over Wi-Fi from you Android device, providing significant cost-efficiencies for an international workforce. Intuitive user experience: Cisco Jabber for Android ties into the native Android experience. Use the familiar Android phone application to place calls from the key pad, contacts, favorites, or call history. Similarly, to search for corporate contacts you can also use the global search box on the Android home screen. • Always-on: Cisco Jabber for Android runs in the background and automatically registers to Cisco Unified Communications Manager when available, you can transparently place and receive calls on your work number without needing to click on the Cisco Jabber application. Furthermore, because Android supports real multitasking, you can use Cisco Jabber in conjunction with other applications such as Google Maps. • Lower mobility costs: Cisco Jabber for Android allows you to place and receive calls over your corporate wireless LAN (WLAN) and telephony infrastructure, reducing the number of mobile minutes used and saving on roaming charges. Because Cisco Jabber for Android uses your Cisco Unified Communications Manager call-routing capabilities, you can also avoid toll charges for international calls. • Mobile privacy: Cisco Jabber for Android turns your Android device into an extension on Cisco Unified Communications Manager. You appear to receive and make calls from your desk phone when using Cisco Jabber for Android on your Android device. Executives benefit from this feature, because they often want to keep their mobile number private when placing calls. • Enterprise telephony features: Cisco Jabber for Android offers enterprise-class telephony functions including transfer, conference, hold, and resume (Figure 2). You can also hand off calls to your mobile provider's network as you leave Wi-Fi coverage. Now let’s look into the full of Cisco Conferencing solutions: WebEx Meeting Center serves a wide variety of general collaboration needs, while the other centers are tailored to specific business processes. As you can imagine, providing remote support 1-on-1 is very different than delivering training in an online classroom, or hosting a company all-hands meeting online…even though the same technology is at the foundation. Your users get best-in-breed solutions—and you get the advantages of standardizing across your organization. Cisco WebEx Meeting Applications integrate data, voice, and video so you can deliver presentations interactively to anyone, anywhere even on mobile devices. Customers have a choice of SaaS-based WebEx Audio or VoIP, Premises based MeetingPlace audio, or Partner audio services offered by Telephony Services Providers. WebEx High Quality video has received overwhelming positive feedback from customers: “Stunning”, “Love it”, “Awesome”… It enhances collaboration with more engaging and productive meetings through the best possible video experience for every user Customers can meet online just as if they are face to face with High Quality Video resolution up to 360p (640x360) pixel resolution up to 30 frames per second. There are a number of new features that make WebEx stand out from the competition including: Full screen video to turn a web conference into a virtual video conference room. Integration with TelePresence via Cisco TelePresence WebEx OneTouch, which is in LA today and will be GA in Jan 2011 HQ video on the Cisco Cius and Apple iPad. WebEx HQ Video on Cius is planned for CY 2011. A new version of WebEx for iPad release 2.0 featuring the High Quality video will be available for download from the Apple App Store (Nov/Dec timeframe.) Active Presence speaker switching technology, which allows the main video to switch automatically to the active speaker based on voice activation.
