EV policy in Thailand (main milestone)
• March 2017, The cabinet has approved the promotion schemes for
the production of motor driven vehicles (xEV) in Thailand , including
HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicles), PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles)
BEV (Battery Electric Vehicles)
• May 2017, Thailand BOI launched promotion privilege for xEV,
including Passenger cars, Pickup Trucks and Buses,
Important EV parts and Charging station
• Present
• 13 BEV projects got approval from BOI (as of March 2020)
• about 810 Charging Station (AC + DC) in Bangkok and big City
• Automotive and Tyre Testing, Research and Innovation Center
(ATTRIC) is in progress
• 17 EV Standards are launched by TISI
