1. Go to VFS Switzerland website and click on “Book an Appointment”

Timing to submit the visa application documents is: 8.30 hrs.-9.00 hrs.

Timing for biometrics collection is 12.00PM onwards.

3. Scheduling Appointments for groups





1. 15 minutes before and after appointment time

1. Please be advised that agents should submit the applicants’ documentation not later than 9AM in the morning.

2. Applicants to submit biometric data between 12pm - 4:30 pm. We will coordinate with you on the timings

2. Only applicants are allowed to enter the Application Centre. Companions are not permitted entry, in exemption to elderly, minors, persons with disability, or require translation

3. It is applicant’s/representative’s responsibility to ensure that any supporting documents are completed and submitted in the required format for smoother process.

4. The Application Centre is to be reached via the public elevators, escalators and stairs.

5. No staples, clips, or pins attaching to the documents.

6. Torn, crumpled or heavily creased documents cannot be scanned and therefore must be photocopied in A4 sized paper

Germany Reminder

• VIDEX application form: Names and address details in Germany (street names, city names, personal information, etc.) need to be filled out in German language only.

• Special characters need to be used, such as, ö (instead of oe)ä (instead of ae)ü (instead of ue) or ß (instead of ss)München instead of Munich, Köln instead of Cologne, etc.

• Signature on application form and information sheet must be same as in passport.




In order to avoid a delay when applying for your visa, please arrange your documents according to the following order:

1. Copy of your passport

2. Printed copy of your application form with photographs

3. Formal obligation letter or written invitation letter / Business invitation from Germany / Hotel reservations

4. Flight reservation (only for tourist visa applicants)

5. All further documents, e.g., work certificate, bank account, birth certificate, land title deed, etc.

6. Travel and health insurance




Processing Time

• Application can be filed within 180 days before the planned trip.

• Applications are in most cases reviewed within 5 to 15 days.

• It is recommended not to file a visa application later than 15 days before the trip. Apply in advance

• Group appointments to be booked not later than two weeks before the requested date.

Agent can book the appointment by contacting our Call center service at least 15 working days before the date of departure

What is required in order to book the appointment?

• Number of people (name list must be attached to the email request)

• Date which the agent want to submit the request

• Travelling period

Please notice that on the day of the appointment the agent has to provide all documentations as explained on the designed “Checklist”.

The Visa office of the Italian Embassy accept only insurance that are issued from company in Thailand or in Italy.
