What started out in the year 2000 as a simple, yet focused academic programme targeted at post graduate students has stood the test of �me. We take pride and pleasure in invi�ng you all to RACE 2019, the 20th consecu�ve edi�on of RAMACHANDRA ANESTHESIA CONTINUING EDUCATION, at Sri Ramachandra Ins�tute of Higher Educa�on and Research (Deemed to be University), Chennai, India from the 25�� to 27�� of January 2019.
RACE, ever since its incep�on in 2000, has intended to equip anesthesiology residents with adequate knowledge, strengthen their fundamental concepts, highlight the recent advances and trends and help them sail through their examina�on. On a bigger scale, we hope to play our part in guiding the younger genera�on to a safe and sound prac�ce of anesthesiology.
The course has been refined over the course of years in content and format to maximize the informa�on imparted to the delegates. We have seen loyal patronage of the programme by renowned na�onal and interna�onal facul�es, and has come to occupy a special place in the hearts of many. We have diversified the informa�on imparted into sessions that include lectures, focus sessions, video sessions, breakfast sessions, How I do it and scien�fic research paper presenta�on to kindle your interest in academic research. We will also have the Prof. Vijaylakshmi Kamat ora�on lecture and the mul�media Quiz for postgraduates, in loving memory of Dr. Vijaylakshmi Kamat, who sowed the seeds for the huge programme that RACE is right now.
We would not have had half the success that we have right now, if it was not for the par�cipa�on from you delegates. We have seen a constant increase in the number of delegates a�ending the CME, with the registra�on reaching almost a thousand last year. It is your enthusiasm and par�cipa�on that encourages us on to go for greater heights.
This is a special year for us, one we will cherish and remember for a long �me. Do join us and be a part of this amazing journey of ours.
