  • RELIGION Words of Life Many of Jesus follower’s complained, “This teaching is too hard.” So he said to them, “Do you want to give up? The words I have spoken to you bring God’s life giving spirit.” But many did not believe and they turned back. • Leeton Eisteddfod

Last week at the Leeton Eisteddfod a large group of students performed in the instrumental sections. Stage 3 presented a mass percussion and vocal item called ‘Little by Little’. They said they ‘crushed it’ and they felt like they ‘blew the roof off the building’. Stage 3 received a highly commended award for their performance. The St Joseph’s Narrandera School Band won second place with ‘Galactic Episode’. The adjudicator commented on their good tuning and musicality. Fran Griffin, our flute tutor, entered the flute students into trio/duo groups and solos. The flute students did exceptionally well with all of the performers and Kyah, April and Zoe walked away with a first place in their trio. Kyah also placed 2nd place for her solo, and Zoe received a highly commended award. Another very successful event. Congratulations to all. From Mrs Walsh

Stage 3 have been asked to bring along a kitchen item that could be used to play as a musical instrument.

Old items that are no longer needed in your kitchen would be best as they will be drumming and striking them so it is

possible for them to get damaged. Please do what you can to assist your child in bringing

    something in. Thanks. Mrs Walsh
