2021 Student Enrolments Reminder
Should you be aware of any families in our local area that are planning to send their children to our school next year can you please pass on our details. Many families who are enrolling a child for the first time don't think they are able to do so until quite late in the year. However, the sooner the better for us to start working on how to best arrange our classing structure.
Similarly, if you are aware that your child currently enrolled here (apart from Year 6) will not be returning to our school in 2021 also inform our office.
Merit Award System Clarification
Just in case any of our families are confused, this merit system is the new one that started just this year. So any awards from last year are not counted, but any from this year on will be able to carry over to coming years.
I apologise, I also had an incorrect section in the table last week, so please have a look at what is required to achieve a Gold Award, as it is now our highest level and harder to work towards than Bronze or Silver.
Welcome Miss Petkovska
You may know her as Miss P, but either way, we’d like to welcome Miss Petkovska back to our school. She is usually here every Friday, however, as Ms Wyman needed to take some unexpected leave Miss Petkovska will be on 2/3W for the next five weeks. Ms Wyman will not be away that entire time but instead will be relieving in my position for two weeks while I am on leave for the last week of this term and the first week back.
Updated Covid-19 Advice
As mentioned previously in the Newsletter, there has been further updated advice in regards to Covid-19 and schools. As a result students who are sent home, or kept home, from school with flu like symptoms are required to be tested for Covid-19. They may return to school when they receive a negative result (to be sighted by the school) and no longer have any symptoms.
If your child has been away please state clearly on their return note why they were away rather than just putting ‘sick’ or ‘unwell’. A little more detail will save our office ringing you to ascertain the type of illness.
We still have a small number of parents who are entering the school grounds to pick up children from their classrooms. If you have to enter the school grounds for any reason you must go via the office as we need to keep a record of all who come into the school should it be required by the Health Department.

l Thank You P&C and Well Done SRC
The SRC raised $63.10 with Five Cent Friday and the P&C generously donated the mufti money, $225.50, to them as well. So a total of $288.60 was raised last week to go towards tables, chairs and generally beautification of the area that will be left after the Hive is removed. Thank you SCR and P&C!
Lockdown Drill
At some point this week we will be holding a lockdown drill as part of our emergency practices review. If you are at home during the school hours please don’t be alarmed when you hear a different type of bell/alarm, it is only a drill.

Celebrating Dads this Father’s Day through Best Dad Moments!
#bestdadmoments is something all students, dads and partners can do
together!
We want all our students to draw their favourite Best Dad Moment and write
a special message to give to dad this Father’s Day. Kids can do this at school
or at home with their dad. Pick a moment and bring it to life through
drawing!
Why not post the special drawing and message from your kids using the
hashtag #bestdadmoments and share it with us and The Fathering Project!
The Fathering Project has invited celebrities and sporting personalities to also
