1 Principal’s Message At the moment we are busy processing all the enrolments for next year. Ponsonby Intermediate School has always accepted many students from out of zone and this will continue. I should also make it clear that my goal is for class sizes and the school roll to remain the same heading into 2018 and beyond. To help provide certainty, it is important all enrolments for 2018, whether you are ‘in zone’ or ‘out of zone’, are received by the end of this term – Friday 29 September. You will be notified of your acceptance by email and formal letter in mid October. Information on term dates, stationery and uniform will be included. Please let your friends and neighbours know these deadlines – the transition process from Primary school into Intermediate is important. We will visit all our major contributing primary schools for Year 6 Transitioning in November – Ponsonby Primary, Freemans Bay Primary, Richmond Rd Primary, Bayfield Primary, Gladstone Primary, Westmere Primary, Pt Chevalier Primary, Northcote Primary, and Grey Lynn Primary. The Year 6 students from other schools need to attend the Out of Zone Transition Morning here at Ponsonby Int. School – Thursday 23 November – 9:00am – 10:15am. In this fortnight’s newsletter we cover – Performance Evening, Student Led Conferences, Student Lateness and School Camps. HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND A CHANCE TO WIN A $50 PREZZY CARD!

On behalf of an educational institute we are conducting some market research to get a better understanding of areas such as: how parents and students choose a school, what schools could be doing better and which features of a school are of value to a parent and student.

We are particularly looking for parents with daughters in Years 7 and 8 to take part.

By clicking on the link and answering a short online survey – your opinion will help identify what senior schools could be doing to improve.

The survey takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes and on completion of the survey – if you have given your name and email address – you will go into the draw for the Prezzy card!

GO TO WWW.SURVEYMONKEY.COM/R/SCHOOLY7 OR SCAN THE QR CODE

All answers will then be tabulated such as 80% of all participates believed X. No individuals will be identified in the data and all comments will remain confidential.

Thank you
