Modular Cleaning System Western Sonics Walnut, Calif.

Western Sonics' modular ultrasonic system is designed to be assembled in any configuration necessary to clean miscellaneous parts using an aqueous or semiaqueous cleaning process. Each module can function as a stand-alone unit, which does not require any exter- nal support, or an in-line system when multiple units are secured together. When the cleaning process changes or grows, modules are easily added or rearranged to meet process demands.

The Mode] 5C7-250 Series Control- lers are temperature controls with an RS-232 communications port allowing them to be configured for different modes of operation from a personal computer (PC). Once the controller is configured, the PC may be discon- nected and the controller is a stand- alone unit. Model 5C7-250 is a solid- state single-output unit rated for 3 A, mounted in a snap track. Model 5C7- 251 is a 15-A version with a metal mounting bracket.

Robotic Turntable Thierica Equipment Co. Grand Rapids, Mich.

A new robotic turntable with inde- pendent swing-ann action effectively eliminates cycle time in spray-finish- ing applications. The turntable features two swing arms that operate indepen- dently of each other, allowing the sec- ond fixture to be loaded and swung into position while the first fixture is being finished. The new turntable is available with a specially designed 6,000-cfm spray booth with twin-ex- haust chambers that reciprocate from 5,000 cfm on the active side to 1,000 cfm on the inactive side for reduced air velocity, filtering, and exhaust treat- ment requirements. The entire unit can be installed in a clean room or plant floor environment.
