Encouraging 2016 DSE ResultsThe school was ranked top 25% in 3 categories of 2016 DSE results as compared to

other schools in the entire HK territory, from the same district and of similar banding,

namely individual students’ results, overall results of 4 core subjects (Chinese

Language, English Language, Mathematics and Liberal Studies), as well as 5 best

subjects in SVAIS (Schools Value-added Information System analysis) issued by

Education Bureau. Our students were admitted to various universities like University

of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Chinese

University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong City University, Hong Kong Baptist

University, etc, to name just a few.

Modern School FacilitiesThe school strives for perfection of school facilities through funds drawn from school major

repairs, emergency maintenance and sponsorship solicited from private sectors, the amount of

which reached 6 millions over a span of last 3 years. New entries include Fung Ling Time

Capsule, Green Zone, Organic Farming Corner, etc. STEM Resource Centre is now under

construction.

Beyond-the-border Learning and Workplace Experience

The school strives hard to help widen students’ horizon for future leaders through various

learning trips to places outside Hong Kong. A total of 18 educational tours were held from 2013-

2016, serving more than 600 participants. 36 students passed screening tests and were selected

to join different leadership training tours run by a total of 13 organisations from 2013-2016.

Places to visit include Shanghai, Nanking, Hanzhou, Wuhan, Yichan, Chuxi, Zhouqin,

Foshan, Shunde, Penyu, Macau, Guangxi, Bangkok of Thailand, Seoul of Korea, etc.

A total of 4918 hours of service recorded from 2014-2016, 4 were awarded Golden Prizes, 12

Silver Prizes, 46 Bronze Prizes and 3 nominated for 5-year Long Service Awards in Volunteer

Campaign Team under Social Work Department. 4 students were also honoured of their

contribution with Gold Commendation by both the Wanchai and Eastern District Voluntary

Service Promotion Committees.

The school Volunteer Team participated in 「十面埋服」held by VQ Foundation Limited and got the 1st prize of School Group Section

The number of students being awarded recognition of achievements in the form of

certificates and prizes amounted to 842 in 176 categories from 2015-2016. 145 from

51 academics items, 122 from 59 sports items, 127 from 30 arts items; and 448 from

36 scholarships and other sectors.
