Dear Parish Family,

We are quickly approaching our one-year anniversary of our weekly Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament We began on Thursday, April 24, 2014 after the 7:30 AM morning Mass. What a great blessing it has been to have available this intimate time with Jesus each week! We are always the center of His attention and having a weekly appointment with Him helps us to keep Him in the proper place, the first place, in our lives. Someone told me (after their first visit), that the hour seemed to pass so quickly that when the next person showed up he looked at my watch to see why they were there so early and his hour had already passed. Another Adorer said, “it is the best hour of my week.” There is a section in the Catholic Week that reports when and where Adoration is held throughout the Archdiocese. At a recent meeting of the area Knights of Columbus, one of the men asked me if the time listed for our parish was monthly. I proudly told him that it was weekly! He looked surprised but expressed his desire to come by for a visit. We have a couple of hours that will need an Adorer soon. We could also use some more substitutes, especially for the summer when some regular Adorers will be on vacation. And even if you are not available for a regular hour or as a substitute, I invite everyone to regularly drop by for a visit to the Blessed Sacrament.
