Teacher Guidance for Local History Mystery Mission 90mins This session takes place in Brighton Museum and as a walk in the Lanes. 1. Risk assessments: please ensure you undertake your own risk assessment for the session using the map and information provided. Do contact us if you would like any help. City centre: Be aware that we are walking through a city centre and there may be potential hazards such as narrow and uneven pavements, road closures, obscured pavements, antisocial behaviour of others etc 3. Group ratio: Please ensure you divide your class into 5 groups and bring 6 adults with you. The groups leaders will be leading some of the activities. 4. Roles and responsibilities: the class teacher and school staff are always responsible for the children, especially when crossing the roads. The Museum Learning Assistant will lead the way but please do manage the road crossings yourself. We will of course be there to help. 5. The weather: We recommended children keep coats on and dress for wet weather. If it rains a lot we will stay in the museum, if it rains a little we aim to continue the walk. It will of course be up to you what we do.
