Create small projects using the basic free Apple iLife Apps including iMovie, GarageBand and Photos, and the iWork Productivity Apps Pages and Keynote.
Develop facility with the iLife and iWork Apps to support content environments and instructional technology strategies to align with the Common Core Standards in the classroom.

Our upcoming professional development opportunity will take place December 15, 2015 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm in the school library media room and technology lab. This interactive session will introduce the free Apple Apps contained in iLife and iWork that come with every iPad, iPhone, and new Mac computer after 2013. During the session, we will develop new skills working with these Apple Apps that will help you integrate these free Apple Apps and align your curriculum with the Common Core requirements of technology across the curriculum.

Notes:The School workshop coordinator and IT Department must assure that wireless Internet access is available for participants and that all participants have their iPads charged, loaded with iLife, iWork Apps (photos, iMovie, GarageBand, Pages, and Keynote). Also include iCloud and Dropbox as well as the Voicethread app. Assure that there are enough chargers and outlets for all participants to work throughout the day. Further, these should be arranged in a manner that does not cause unsafe tripping or electrical hazard conditions. ______________________________________________________

markers, and pencils at each table. Set up easel with chart paper and colored markers on stands next to each table, with space for groups of 4 teachers to gather around each stand and move.
Make sure you have appropriate technology, such as a computer and projector for showing the PowerPoint presentation. Bring your laptop and backup flash drive/DVD.
Discuss Firewall systems that are in place in this school that may affect web site access and video (You Tube) access. Update media player on presentation computer.
