“we had displays that included personalized posters, handouts,

bookmarks, etc. The posters had the DUT Library logo and the

DUT Library website URL to access the database. The bookmarks

were personalized by adding the subject librarian names and their

contact details.

It must be noted that the quality and types of promotional materials

influences the users interest in the database being promoted. It is

encouraging to note that there has been a general increase in the

usage statistics of the databases that were targeted for promotion
