    Tashi the foolish

    foxIn Ratanpur forest life was very pleasant. All theanimals live in peace and harmony. They lived in

    their own territory and gave space to each other.

     They larger animals would sometimes help the

    smaller ones. The Gajraj hati uncle helped theMoti monkey and his group to eat the coconuts

    by shaking trees thin and long stem with his

    powerful trunk. And the monkeys would often

    throw e!tra berries in the lake for the "shes.

    #uch was their bonding.

    $ut not everything was as pleasant as it

    seems. There was an mean and arrogant

    fo! called Tashi % who used to create

    problems and bully around. &e used to

    think that he was the smartest and the

    most powerful animal in that forest. &ewould often scare the little animals. The

    small animals would hide in their places%

    whenever they saw Tashi crossing by% to

    any unwanted trouble. $ut Tashi took it

    other way. &e thought that they were

    scared of his power.

    'n one "ne day Tashi was roaming. &e

    wanted to do some mischievous thing on

    someone. There he saw an old (achua

    chacha resting at the bank of the river

    and taking a nap. Tashi without giving a

    second thought caught hold of him

    between his sharp teeth. (achua chacha

    escaped in his shell and shouted for help.

    All this time a rabbit called Gogo

    rabbit was noticing the vicious act of 

     Tashi. &e had heard a lot about the bad

    and arrogant fo!% but today he saw it

    himself.

    Gogo% was a very wise and kind)

    hearted rabbit. &e lived in a burrow near

    the peepal tree% just ne!t to the river

    bank. &e was always on his feet to help

    the helpless and weak animals out of 

    such troubles.

     Today% he decided to help (achua

    chacha.&e went to Tashi and said% *'h

    mighty +ord. I have heard so much about

    you and you are here. &ow fortunate I am

    to meet you. ,ow I know only you can

    help me% my lord.-

    &earing all this praise Tashi dropped

    down. As soon he was released% (achua

    chacha escaped in the river.

    *hat is it% you rabbit/ hat is your

    problem/- Tashi said in a proud and

    heavy voice.

    *It is these humans% lord. They think that

    they are the most powerful creatures in

    this land. I have heard that they were

    talking that no animal from the forest can

    enter our premises% not even you-. Gogo

    said . *0an you teach them a lesson-/

    *1es %yes. hy not/ &ow dare they

    thought that I am so weak. +et me think%

    how should I make them su2er/- Tashi

    said.

    hat Gogo knew and Tashi did not was

    that the humans were the most

    intelligent creatures on earth. They were

    capable of taming a powerful animal like

    elephant or the king of the jungle% the

    lion. They can go to any level to save

    their area and beat any big problem. 4or

    them their land and its safety is the

    priority. If anyone comes between them

    and their world% they could kill it.

     The con"dent fo! was on the seventh

    heaven. ,e!t day Tashi went in the

    village% when everyone was busy working

    in the farm. &e 3uietly went in a hut and

    ate the cooked food. &e tore the bags of 

    grains and scattered the clothes too.

     This happened the ne!t day and the

    other day and the other day.

    5very day Tashi went in a new hut and

    ruined or ate the food which was cooked.

     The hungry and tired villagers were

    worried to "nd that someone was causing

    this trouble . The angry villagers decided

    to "nd the trouble maker and punish it.

    +ike everyday Tashi went o2 for his

    mission. &e 3uietly went in a hut%

    unaware of that% this time the angry

    villagers were waiting to catch him red

    handed and take their revenge. As Tashi

    came out of hut with a roti in his mouth%

    the villagers attacked him with their

    sticks in their hands.

    ithout giving much time to him to

    escape % they started throwing sticks and

    stones on him. Tashi got hurt very badly.

    #omehow he managed to run for his life.

    In the forest everybody waited to see

     Tashis hilarious situation. hen Tashi

    saw all the animals including (achua

    chacha and Gogo rabbit laughing at him%

    he felt ashamed. &e apologised for his

    bad treatment and promised to behavekindly to everyone% all his life.
