Tanker Chartering Delivering fl exible, effi cient, and low carbon marine transportation solutions
Approach
James Fisher Everard has been operating tankers for over 40 years and presently operates a fl eet of 18 double hulled product tankers from 3,000mt to 11,000 mt capacity. Our vessels trade along the European coastline carrying petrol, diesel, kerosene and biofuels.
We perform over 1,000 voyages each year carrying fuel from refi nery and terminals to major coastal storage facilities. For remote islands and far fl ung communities our vessels are often the only reliable and cost effective means of supply.
Coastal shipping around European shores is a tough and unrelenting business which is highly regulated. To perform successfully James Fisher Everard operates to the highest standards, with high quality vessels and very experienced offi cers.
• Our ships are designed and built to the highest safety.
• The performance and conduct of our offi cers and crews is continually measured against demanding standards.
• Each and every voyage is carefully planned to minimise risk.
• Cargo transfers are carefully supervised to minimise risk to individuals and the environment and to provide assurance of cargo quantity and quality delivered.
James Fisher Shipping Services provides a professional and sophisticated technical and crewing
management service to the James Fisher Everard fl eet. This expertise has been developed over decades of experience managing ships around the UK coast.
You can’t teach experience – local knowledge of sea conditions, ports, berth requirements and vessel / cargo operations are all vital for safe effi cient operations and can only be acquired over time. 90% of our Masters have been promoted from within and have served us for an average of 15 years.
Shipping dramatically reduces our customers’ carbon footprint compared to other modes of transportation - CO2 emissions are halved for shipping compared to road freight and just one full ship keeps more than 100 trucks from Europe’s congested highways.
All these measures allow our customers to place their trust in James Fisher Everard as their chosen supply chain partner.
