Strengths:• Low operational cost.
• Vast distributional network.
• Well known brands.
• Favorable government policy.
• FDI approval up to 100% in most of the food processing sector.
Opportunities:• Changing lifestyle of people, unused rural market.
• Increased income level & purchase power.
• Large market among age segment.
• Demand in rural areas.
• People spend high on consumer goods.
Weaknesses:• Less scope to invest in technology
• Low export levels.
• Counterfeit products narrow the scope in rural & semi- urban areas.
