It all started in 1965. A young Jim Pecora was growing tired of his job and looking to open a business.Armed with only the generations-old Pecora family recipes and $65, he set out to open a pizzeria.

One year later, Jim opened "Pepe's" in the suburbs of Chicago. He served the traditional Chicago-stylethin crust pizza and soon the little pizzeria had developed into a thriving business. Jim had accomplished

quite a feat - building a successful pizzeria in one of the world's most competitive pizza markets.

Fast forward 38 years. Jim, who had relocated to Utah, and his son, Joe, were sitting in a kitchen overlook-ing the Salt Lake Valley when conversation turned to how great it would be to have Chicago-style pizza in

Utah. Eighteen months later Joe moved to Utah and, with the opening of our Draper location,Sweet Home Chicago Pizzeria was born.

Now, at THE DISTRICT in South Jordan, we are Sweet Home Chicago Pizza & Pastaria, a full serviceChicago-style Italian Restaurant, where only the best and freshest ingredients are used. Our recipes

are the same family recipes with house-made dough & sauce and fresh house-made Italian sausage.
