Supervisor Expectations

• Be the first employee on site• Know all of the rules for the sports you

are working.• Ensure safe playing environment for all

participants and employees.• Set a positive examples • Supervisors attend monthly meetings

and other staff meetings and trainings

Staff Meetings

• Show up on time!

• Be prepared

• Notify Jack Butler and/or Ryan Godfrey if you are going to be late or absent.

Cell Phones

Cell phones are not allowed on the second and third floors of the Marino Center

The use of cell phones for non-emergency use while on a shift at Marino, Cabot, or Matthews Arena is grounds for immediate dismissal.

Pre-Game Responsibilities

• Take Sport Binder and check for game sheets and supervisor report

• Only take the pinnies you need and be mindful that the other sports need them also.

• Arrive at game site and inspect playing area for unsafe materials or equipment (broken glass, nails, broken floor boards, etc)

• Have field or playing area set-up and ready for play

Pre-Game cont’

• Ensure all employees

are onsite and ready to work

• Start the games on time- stay on schedule.

Game time

• Assign the officials for each game.

• Pay close attention to both the officials and the participants during the game.

• Use breaks in the game to evaluate and work with your officials.

Game time

• Act as a source for information and authority

• Handle major disputes • Enforce all facility policies• You may also be required to

– Officiate games– Score/Time

Post Game Responsibilities

• Clear the field – Participants, equipment and field markers

• Lock up cabinets, doors, and return keys to their proper places

• Place all the forms in there proper places– The shift ends when everything is where it

belongs. – Bring sports binder back to Marino

• All forms can be obtained on the employee website:

– Ejections– Protests– Incidents– Accidents

Professionalism

• Dress appropriately• Bring a Whistle• Athletic shorts or pants• Tennis Shoes/Sneakers• NO sandals or any other open-toe shoe
