Enhanced transition area results in

superior flow capacity. POM provides 160% more shaft travel than

The Difference is INSIDE… 2” Pressure Regulators..

POM provides 292% more spring travel than GF. We use multiple springs

GF – POM–Rolling diaphragm

Surface area (pressure sensing) is virtually identical, but with the vertical

“rolling diaphragm” format, POM provides 3.7 X more diaphragm travel

than GF.

Advantages of Plast-O-Matic Pressure Regulators…

Most pressure regulators impede flow while sensing

pressure. The sensing orifice and pressure sensing

chamber in a Plast-O-Matic regulator are not in the flow

path – flow is unrestricted and much higher than

competitive designs.

Large sensing area of the rolling diaphragm provides

smoother, more accurate control.

U-cups used in place of O-rings provide smooth, non-sticking movement of

the main shaft.

Fail Safe

The Fail Safe option is a battery backup:

– Will operate a normally open or normally closed valve.

– In a power failure, if not already in that position, an internal switch

changes to immediately draw power to drive the valve to the failsafe

position.

– Battery comes fully charged from factory.

– Charge can last up to 5 cycles

– Will recharge with a trickle charger when power is restored.

4-20 mA

• 4-20mA literally means “4 to 20 milliamp”

– A milliamp is .001 ampere

• Controller (a separate electronic device) sends a CONTROL current to the POM actuator of either 4 mA, 20mA or any current in between.

– A 4mA current tells the actuator to open or close the valve.

– A 20 mA current tells the actuator to fully close or open the valve.

– A 12 mA current tells the valve to open half way.

• note: 12 mA is halfway between 4 and 20 mA.
