The SuperF-UT End Mill with unequal helix angle available from Stock will satisfy even the highest demands in milling opera-tions. The advantages are:• 60%morefeedscomparedtoconventionalendmillswith

same helix angle• novibrations,chatterfree• bettersurfacequality• longertoollife• greatercuttingdepths• muchreducedrun-out• muchincreasedapplication:forroughing

as well as finishing

Technical parameter

The unequal helix angle fits the special demands of different materials:

Type VA and AL

Type FS

Thanks to their special design SuperF-UT End Mills prevent chattering and the so-called corkscrew effect in the mentioned materials.

The SuperF-UT end mills program

We have included the two SuperF-UT FS long multi-tooth milling cutters in the programme for fine finishing operations providing outstanding surface quality. Both milling cutters are FIRE-coated and are either 6-fluted depending on the diameter. The helix angle of 44°/45°/46° is optimised to the special requirements of fine finishing operations. You can select either HA shank (cat. no. 64558) or HB shank (cat. no. 64559).

For machining different materials and for various milling operations there is a choice of the following designs.

UnderthisdescriptionintheStockprogramme,youwillfindmulti-range end mills for roughing and finishing operations in most materials. The 4-fluted milling cutters are FIRE-coated and equipped with HA shank (cat. no. 54551) or HB shank (cat. no. 64550 and 64551). The helix angle variesbetween35°and38°,fortheshortversion(cat.no.64550) as well as for the long (cat. no. 54551 and 64551) andextra long versions (cat. no. 54552).

SuperF-UT VA milling cutters are available especially for machin-inglong-chipping,toughmaterialssuchasstainlessandacidresistant steel. Both FIRE-coated milling cutters with a helix angle of 40°/42° are designed for roughing as well as finishing opera-tions and are 4-fluted. The milling cutters are available in long (cat.no.54556and64557)orshort(cat.no.64567)versions,the long version has an internal coolant supply. The versions without internal cooling are with HA (cat. no. 54556) or HB shank (cat. no. 64557). The SuperF-UT VA milling cutter with internal cooling is equipped with HB shank.

These milling cutters are bright finish and optimally suited for machininglong-chipping,softmaterialssuchasaluminium.Thetools are 4-fluted with a helix angle of 40°/42°. The shank form is optionally HA (cat. no. 74554) or HB (cat. no. 74555). They are only available in the long version.

For milling cutters with centre cutting, 30% of the stated feed rates apply when plunge feeding: fza = 0,3 x fz

The new european-wide definitions according to DIN EN for steel and cast are applied for our material examples.

Lubricants:

Oblique plunging and slot milling Drilling

cutting oil, highly activatedsoluble oil (emulsion)

air only

For oblique plunging the feed rate (vf = mm/min) should be reduced as illustrated. In addition, chip evacuation is required for drilling depths in excess of 1 x D. This also applies to the transition to radial machining.slot millingap = cut. depth 0,5 x D = fz 100%ap = cut. depth 1,0 x D = fz 75%

For drilling the feed rate (vf = mm/min) should be reduced as illustrated. In addition, chip evacuation is required for larger drilling depths in excess of 0,5 x D.

Feed rate codes in bold are the preferred choice for the respective material group.
