Priest on Call: Should you have an urgent need to contact a priest after hours dial 214-232-7512. Blue Connect Card: Fill out a card to make Prayer Requests, RSVP, register as a guest, or to get more information on Saint Michael. Need Prayer? Want to pray on someone’s behalf, or offer up thanksgivings? Prayer Teams are available to pray with you after each Sunday morning service. An usher can direct you to the various prayer locations.

• Meals on Wheels needs drivers this summer. The time commitment can be as little as two hours a month. Contact Mary Bartholow at [email protected].

• Can you work in the Saint Michael Book Shop a couple of hours a week this summer? Contact Chris at [email protected].

Jubilee Park is looking for volunteers. Join us by participating in one or all of the following:

• Volunteer for Jubilee Park’s Brighter Bites on Fridays. Brighter Bites is a Jubilee Park program that provides families with 30 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables for the weekend. Volunteers are needed from 11:00 – 2:30 to sort and pass out the bags of food on June 19 and 26, and the five Fridays in July.

• Chaperone a Summer Camp Field Trip. Jubilee Park’s Summer Camp is taking three field trips to exciting Dallas area attractions and needs volunteer chaperones. The field trips will be on Fridays June 26, July 10, and July 24. Chaperones must be 21 or older.

• Jubilee Needs Reading Partners for the Fall School Term. We need tutors to work with elementary school students this fall who are reading below grade level. One can volunteer for as little as one hour a week and work with the same student year-round. Formal teaching experience is NOT required. Training and support is provided. 

• Help Jubilee Kids Learn to Sew. Sewing Classes at Jubilee Park start June 23 and help is needed to teach 4th and 5th graders how to sew. Classes are Tuesday and Wednesday mornings 10:00 - 11:30, June 23 - July 29. Contact Mary Jo Forbes [email protected] or 972-306-3856.

If you enjoy cooking and sharing meals with parishioners needing a little loving care, becoming an Extended Care Cook is for you. And, Good Shepherds are the eyes and ears of the health and well-being of parishioners living in their neighborhood. However you want to serve, at Saint Michael there’s a place for you. Summer Sale in the Book Shop. The Saint Michael Book Shop has started its Summer Sale with 50% off select items: gifts, cards and books! Remember, the Book Shop is observing its summer hours. It’s open Monday – Thursday from 10:00 – 3:00, closed Friday, Saturday 9:00 – 11:00, and on Sunday from 8:30 – 12:30.

the prayer ShaWl knitting miniStry. As of June 2, 1,973 prayer shawls have been knitted, by this ministry. Help knit another 27 by the end of the year. Join us on Tuesdays from 1:00 -3:00 in the Coke Activities Room. If you don’t know how to knit and would like to learn, please come. If you are unable to attend and knit at home, you still can be a part of this ministry. Contact Byrd Teague at [email protected] and she will tell you how.
