Charity Auction hosted by Lord Jeffrey Archer and Annie Mawson

Music from Sunbeams and the Locrian Ensemble with Jill Washington

To celebrate our 21st Anniversary and to raise funds for our National Sunbeams Music Centre, we are holding a very special event in London on June 6th – the very date when Annie founded Sunbeams!

We do hope you enjoy reading all about our Celebration. We would love to see you there, alongside many of our Patrons! Our Auction Lots are SO amazing – we have been bowled over by the generosity of the donors. Lord Jeffrey Archer has already said what a wonderful evening it promises to be – he is so looking forward to hosting a very entertaining Auction in his own inimitable style!

We are taking the very best of Lakeland Food to London! We are thrilled to have received sponsorship from so many wonderful award-winning Cumbrian producers and from our main sponsor,

Lakeland Ltd who “…..are proud to be associated with Sunbeams.” THANKYOU to all of you.

Our 21st Celebration would not be complete without a performance by our greatest supporters – the world-renowned Locrian Ensemble, one of the most sought after, and often recorded ensembles in Britain. They are spurred on by their maestro Justin Pearson, whom we are proud to have as one of our Musical Patrons. The Locrian Ensemble are one of the most dynamic groups working in the field of classical music today, enjoying high-profile careers working in the studios of London, and have supported top names in the pop world such as Take That, Madonna, Jose Carreras, Tina Turner, Pavarotti, to name but a few. They have appeared on the soundtracks to films such as “Harry Potter”, “Lord of the Rings”, “Captain Corelli’s Mandolin”, “The Mummy” and “The Full Monty”.

We are thrilled that the Locrians will be joined by Jill Washington, another wonderful friend of Sunbeams. She is one of the great West End stars, having performed the role of Christine in Phantom of the Opera more than anyone else, world-wide.

Thankyou to those of you who cannot come to London who support us throughout the year. The donations from organisations, companies and people within our own Cumbrian communities (some of them anonymously) have acted as sound leverage for the Grant Applications we have been submitting – not just for the Centre but also for our ongoing work
