CIVICS • 8-11 a.m. • .5 credit MMC • June 25 - July 26 Students will be expected to demonstrate the use of critial thinking and social-scientific inquiry skills. The will learn that culture, socialization and status affect one’s political behavior, party identification and participation. Students will analyze roles, recruitment and decision making in the legislative, executive and judicial branches of our government. The will apply the knowledge learned in the text to current political situations.

ECONOMICS • 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. • .5 credit MMC • June 25 - July 26This course examines the field of economics and the American free enterprise system. Students will gain an understanding of economics by viewing: basic theory, individual and household choices, business formulation/choices, the role of government, types of economic systems, and foreign and domestic trade.

HONORS GEOMETRY A • Session 1 • 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. • .5 credit MMC • June 25 - July 10HONORS GEOMETRY B • Session 2 • 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. • .5 credit MMC • July 11 - July 26This is a course in the foundations of geometry, including but not limited to, reasoning, proofs and properties of lines, triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, and circles, and the surface area and volume of three dimensional solids. This is an honors class, which means we will be moving through material quickly with a heavy emphasis on critical thinking and problem solving.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION • 8-11 a.m. • .5 credit MMC • June 25 - July 26This course will be a combination of the fundamentals in phyiscal education, gymnasium/field sports training, and physical conditioning exercise. Students will need a regular PE outfit, outdoor workout attite and gym shoes.

Kindergarten Readiness • 8-11 a.m. • July 23-July 26 • Class held at Thornton Creek Elem. Introduce your child to the necessary skills to be success in kindergarten! Work on literacy, sight words, science and kindergarten mathematical concepts!  Help your child learn about the kindergarten schedule from a Northville kindergarten teacher!

Note: Onsite classes will not meet July 4.
