Summary of Results for Final Product

After creating my own questionnaire, I then gave 15 people who fitted my target

audience of 14-19 the questionnaire. Here I will analyse the results from the questionnaire.

I asked this question because I wanted to

find out what people from my target

audience liked about the front cover. From

the results I found out that the majority of

the 15 people I asked, their favourite

feature of the front cover is the main image.

I am glad that this was the result to the

questionnaire as, personally, I thought that

this was the best aspect of the front cover. I

briefly asked a few of the people I gave the

questionnaire why they felt that this was

their favourite feature, they replied ‘It’s

really bold’ and ‘I love the effect!’.

I asked this question as I wanted to

find out whether if someone looked

at the magazine, they would be

able to understand the target

audience age. This result shows

that the vast majority of the people

chose 14-19 years, which was the

age range which I aimed my

magazine at. This shows that I have

successfully designed my front

cover, contents page and double

page spread, as the targeted age

for all of them is easily identifiable.

As people have chosen this option,

it means that my magazine will

effectively attract the audience

that I originally chose in my formal

proposal!

I asked this question because I

wanted to find out whether the

targeted gender of my magazine

was clear to the target audience.

My magazine was aimed at both

females and males,

predominantly males. This pie

chart shows that it was almost

evenly spread between the two

options, with ‘Male’ being a

slightly more popular result. This is

a good result from the question,

as it shows that my magazine is

effective in the way that it has

represented the correct gender

from the target audience.

I asked this question because I

wanted to find out what the

target audience thought the

genre that my music magazine

was focused on. The results show

that everyone I questioned chose

the option ‘Rock’. This shows that I

have followed correct

conventions of rock music

magazines and successfully

reflected the genre I have

originally focused on. This means

that my magazine portrays the

genre effectively, meaning it will

attract the target audience.

What gender do you think that the magazine is targeted at?

Female

Male

I asked this question because I wanted to find

out what the target audience felt about the

three productions. The results show that most

of the people questioned chose the front

cover as their favourite production. This is a

good result as the front cover is made to

attract the attention of the audience, and it’s

the first impression that a reader would see on

a magazine rack. I understand why the

double page spread wasn’t as popular,

because I felt that it was lacking creativity,

and I wish that I had time to improve the

positioning of the title etc.

I asked this question because I

wanted to find out whether the

people I questioned would

recommend my magazine. All of

the people who filled in my

questionnaire were between the

ages of the target audience range,

which means that this would be an

accurate result to take on. I am

happy that everyone I questioned

would recommend this magazine,

as it implies that they enjoy what I

have created.

Out of the three pages, which is your
