Colleges are a great source for scholarships

Colleges compete for the best students A common strategy is to apply to several colleges and

compare financial award packages. Some scholarships require a separate application. Some scholarships are automatically reviewed with

admissions applications. Private colleges often have much more scholarship money

available than public schools. Small liberal arts colleges, especially in the Midwest often

offer good scholarships. Geographic diversity can work to your advantage.

Avoid Scams

You should not have to pay to apply for a scholarship or apply for the Colorado Opportunity Fund.

Avoid giving too much information. FMHS does not endorse any companies

that assist students with their scholarship search.
