Physical Characteristics1. Young children have high physical needs.2. Spend extra time responding to physical
needs.3. Large muscles work best.4. Young children have limited fine muscles.5. Young children want to play all the time.
Emotional & Social1.Children have stranger anxiety.2.Young children need to be affirmed.3.Compliment good behavior twice as
often as you redirect negative behavior.4.Preschoolers are more emotional when
hungry or tired.5.Young children like playing in groups.
Mental1.Young children learn through their
senses.2.Young children are egocentric.3.Young children have short attention

– Note the title, subject, objective, & memory verse
– Read the lesson overview– Skim the Bible story headings– Look through the student items– Locate any items needed for the lesson– Begin praying for God to give you His
creativity

– Read Bible verses– Look at lesson objectives– Read the Bible lesson

– Begin lesson planning– Plan your lesson– Choose an opening activity– Choose how you will present the Bible study– Choose how you will teach the memory
