• Why? Through this initiative we wanted to equip our participants with the support they would need to be a successful learner and a motivated student prepared for college after high school

Allowed the program to expand and add a component for rising Juniors

• Program Components

Student Success & Development Course (3 credits) for rising High School Seniors

English College Prep Boot Camp (non-credit) for rising High School Juniors

College Readiness & Career Exploration Workshops

Civic Engagement Presentations with weekly guest speakers

• Participants are assigned to a local nonprofit agencies and/or municipal offices throughout Perth Amboy.

• The goal is to enhance participants’ overall learning experience while simultaneously benefitting the community.

• This service learning component integrates meaningful community service with academic coursework and career exploration.
