    1. Test Plan Overview 1.1 Overview

This plan details the sequence in which the Activated Carbon Odor Control System and Hydrogen Sulfide Monitoring System (ACOCS and HSMS) Performance Plan for the 3rd and Constitution Ave – Pump Station Modification as referenced in Contract Specification 44 60 11 and 44 60 12, will be completed. The Operational Demonstration is planned to take one day.

    1.2 Purpose

This Plan provides a step-by-step guide for the completion of the ACOCS AND HSMS Performance Plan as required by Contract Specification Section 01 75 00, 01 91 00, 44 60 11 and 44 60 12. This Plan will include testing sign-off/check-out sheets in order to fulfill Contract Specifications.

    1.3 Plan Outline

This Plan consist of procedures for the ACOCS AND HSMS Performance Testing. The ACOCS AND HSMS Performance Plan will confirm the performance of the Carbon Vessels and the Hydrogen Sulfide Monitoring System. The equipment at the ACOCS AND HSMS include the following:

    • An axial fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) fan (Supply Fan S-1) • A grease filter/mist eliminator • A centrifugal FRP fan • Two (2) Carbon Odor Control Vessels (OCU-1 and OCU-2) • Hydrogen Sulfide Monitoring System

Please see the attached drawings for the location of the components along with the sample locations and location of where the hydrogen sulfide gas will be introduced.

The Performance Test is conducted to ensure the ACOCS AND HSMS System is meeting the design standards per the Contract Documents. Prior to the Performance Test, Ulliman Schutte Construction (USC) has completed the following:

    • Media Installation • All System Components Start-Up
