3. General Idea:
Students will work with the different geographical dimensions (such as physical,
social, demographical, economical, political) and learn how to find links and causes
and consequences between them.
While looking at the different dimensions they will have to switch scale levels to see
things from a wider perspective and how everything in our world is linked together.
This will prepare them to work with sources and materials in year 4 and up.

C.1 I can understand the underlying causes in the run-up to the First World War
and I’m able to recognize examples of nationalism, imperialism, militarism(Arms Race) Alliances in each country involved in the war.
CS.1 I can analyse political cartoons relating to the causes of World War One using the method I learnt in my history lessons and evaluate the factual
accuracy, reliability, usefulness and representativeness of the source in question.
CS.2 I can formulate a research question, and carry out research, gather information from a number of different primary sources, process the information and present my findings giving an oral presentation.
CS.3. I can compare historical situations from different eras, I can distinguish between change and continuity in developments and make causal links
between main event. I can distinguish between kinds of causes and a consequence, and draw conclusions and formulate my own opinion.
