Stronghold = fortress, outpost or castle

Stronghold = an illegal outpost which the enemy has established from which he repeatedly attacks your point of weakness.

Psalm 91:2 – I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust." (NKJV)

2 Corinthians 10:3-4 – For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. (NIV)

John Wesley to William Wilberforce:Unless the divine power has raised you up . . .
