Faith has turned its back on you againInto the curve of life I go in

They say its heaven, but it’s wearing thinMust be the eyes of the dreaming man

Give me hope and I will seek a friendJust in days, all just in days

Oh Maria

Faith has turned its back on you againInto the curve of life where I go in

Oh where I go in

Give me some timeGive me some hopeShow me your wayTo clear this road

Oh Maria, it must be the wayOf the secrets that we shareIt must be the way Of the secrets that we share

In these streets I’m walking inI touch the stone of some forgotten sin

I’ll carry your shoes childI’ll be your strong wind

Be someone for mercy’s sakeBe someone, don’t you be afraidBecause I’ll carry your shoes

child, I’ll be the strong wind

If they could see you nowIf they could love you now

Like we did in Berlin

When you hold on to faith and belief you will get it done

There will be no more secretsbut you’ll hail my friend

Since she’s gone my heart went greyAll she left was a picture in a frame

It won’t take long now beforeshe becomes a memory down the lane

A sweet memory down the laneIt’s a memory lane of grace

if they could see you nowIf you could find love somehow

Like we did in Berlin intr

A glass of wine and a clear blue sky. I look at you and your eyes meet mine. I couldn’t breathe, my worries washed away just by your smile.

I take your hand, your skin feels soft. A voice so tender, don’t let this stop. I couldn’t think of the thousand words that were running through my mind.

I can not think of a thousand words to say to you. I can not think of one good reason why.

A Thousand Words(Tino Biddeloo)

Page 9: Streets & Boulevards

If this is love, please let it stay. I’ll do anything, I’ll find a way. Let me hold you close. I want to feel your heartbeat close to mine.

I can not think of a thousand words to say to you. I can not think of one good reason why.

If a kiss means more than a thousand words then it could describe what I am feeling now, so come with me. Let’s make love and leave these words behind.

Getting on by yourself is like breathing, he thinks. Even when there’s love that’s dripping off these bedroom walls.

Get lost, she says, because I know you believe that there’s got to be more then a glow on a season. The glory, it’s there, just give it all and feel my tenderness.

But he got lost and paid with diamonds for his true love and his common sense. Hang on to a friend and you might live just another day ahead. Feel my tenderness.

Walking hand in hand with God, makes her feel like some queen of loss. Hang on to a state of grace I swear I’ll trick and trade. But feel my tenderness.

Feeling like a goddess, feeling all the same.I give it to you, loyal, you have to want to be.I give it to you, loyal. I give it to you straight. When it comes to being honest you can be who you want to be. When feeling lost and saved.

Ophelia your love is there ...

In Aimelee’s labyrinthA winding path to God’s honeyWhere she didn’t intend to go

And where she can not stayTo paint in the light of day

The blossomed tree, the season and time. Where only your thoughts remainFor my emotion she won’t stay

It’s like dreaming in black and whiteIt’s like growing slower than time

Can you forgive meFor what I’ve become

I hold no fortune, just a tender bliss

And who am I becomeWhen it’s all said and done

Would I be dreaming in black and whiteOr would I keep the thoughts of a colourful mind

Love is stronger than everWhen a tree is shaking its leafs

It holds no fortune it seeks no wisdomIt listens to the season’s breeze

Page 14: Streets & Boulevards

She has her own little placeCollects cotton and lace

While his head lives in the cloudsit feeds on tendernessNo home to be bound

So they travelled aloneWithout their troubled mindsWithout their reasons to feel alone

From shattered glass and broken dreamsRises dauntless the soul who has fought his fearsWhen days fade awayYour heart feels something straight away

I mean when I sayYour love has saved me all the wayoh hear when I sayDon’t keep this troubled mind so far away

Some stranger has got to doSome feel alive, some are doomedSome are “do”’s and some are “don’t”’s

I mean when I sayYour love has saved me all the wayOh hear when I say Don’t you be someone who’s getting more afraid.

I know I am afraidIt is love that has kept me all the sameI mean when I say

You are like some flower falling from a treeGetting into the summer’s breezeFeeling like a breathe without the insane;

“I mean when I say, I mean when I say”

It’s two steps closer for one big emotionIt’s priceless and it’s safeEvery time I touch your faceBy the end of the day

Let’s get it on by the falling of the dayIt’s two steps closer heaven can wait

I walk towards a dead endIt feels like a rain danceIn my hat I hide rabbits and snakes

A winner digs his own grave

After the lights go down even heaven can waitWhen it’s you and I things get back into shape

Moonstruck at night, ten fingers lost in a dayLove strikes at night, the day that God only saved.

The moon can’t burn her wings, it hidesall the colours on her face.

Close to the skin, ten fingers whisper a smile through her tears. All the tenderness that calls when the phone rings.

Naked on the skin, feeling the wind’s warm breeze.Naked on the skin, while shivering, her heart sings.

Moonstruck at night, how vainly she feathered her wings.Love strikes at midnight, how brightly it marks the shadows on her face.

Naked on the skin, it changes the colour of a broken dream. The wind on her naked skin, she feels like a summer breeze.

Gone…

You’re like a mirror to my soul. Fear the glass or fearit all. Sweet baby brown, a little bit of passion to keep it going on

I can be whatever you want. I can do what-ever you please Share my thoughts so please share my passion

Because I’m feeling a little strange girl Just a little strange girlJust a littlestrange

Page 22: Streets & Boulevards

Once upon a time there was a boy named Charlie. Charlie’s brain had the size of a peanut, but she was a true Alice in Wonderland. She had curly brown hair, she could dance like a fairy floating on her toes and always carried a blossom on her face like she just came running down the hill. While she was dancing, singing and cheering, enjoying her first lover’s attention, Charlie decided to dump her for some blond girl with legs up to her neck.

Charlie’s Girl(Tino Biddeloo)

Page 23: Streets & Boulevards

Her whole world fell apart. Every night she would look up at the sky and cried for hours. She cried so hard that the stars could not handle it anymore. Even the moon got sad and hid behind dark grey clouds. She felt all alone for the very first time. Two weeks later the blond showed up at her doorstep. It seemed Charlie was not telling the truth. In fact Charlie went off to be Charlene and took a surgery trip to Indonesia or something. They fell into each other’s arms and cried until they ended up painting each other’s toenails.

However, this change of event did not help her to shake off the sadness. Until one night Alfred, a little mouse knocked at her window.

Alfred was described to be a suicidal maniac, ignored by cats because he was too much of an intellectual who liked to quote William Burroughs on very inappropriate occasions. Like dogs, cats like to talk about their legal rights, avoid taxes and rip off all the others. They have nine lives to achieve their goal.

Anyway, Alfred whispered to her quite clear that she had to jump over the rainbow. Happiness awaited her at the other end. She frowned her eyebrows and understood she had to take action. In her excitement she slammed the window while Alfred was only halfway through. She got on a little green pony and jumped over the rainbow.

From a distance she could see a tall dark handsome man approaching her. He had brown eyes, dark brown hair and bent his head slightly down. A man kind of like your father.

The green pony got an instant stroke and I had to replace him with a cheaper model so they both got back on a second hand mule named Dingo. The former owner was a Canadian with a drinking problem who shot his wife by accident and then was no longer pretty sure of himself.

They jumped back over the rainbow and her prince got struck by lightening twice. In the beginning they could barely look at each other. But surrounded by so much love and beauty he took a job and went bowling on Thursday nights. They lived happily ever after

Well and then there’s you, you might end up like your mother. Married to an ugly guy like me. It all depends on which side of the rainbow you are.

Gitte Le Bruyn graduated as a visual artist in 2008 from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. For one of her exhibitions, she worked with the music of Tino Biddeloo. One time they reversed the process and Gitte created an animation video inspired by and based on the song “Maria”. She created a series of oil paintings on glass, which she lit and photographed. Through editing of the images, the painting becomes alive, resulting in a digital animation film. The professional editing was done by Ruben Beunckens.

In November 2010 this clip won the Holland Animation Festival.
