Stockstadt Mill, GermanyCoated and uncoated fine paperStockstadt Mill is an integrated mill, located in the metropolitan area of Frankfurt on Main. It has two paper machines. PM1 is the only machine within Sappi to produce uncoated paper and is ranked number one with regard to the lowest specific power requirement in a worldwide benchmark of 49 paper machines. PM2/SM produces multi coated fine paper and speciality papers. The mill has its own power station and waste-water treatment plant and is home to Sappi Europe’s sole lignosulphate plant where Sappi Biotech Lignin manages the black liquor derived from the pulp process.

Capacities

Stockstadt papers are ideal for printing applications such as calendars, books and magazines. Coated papers for sheet-fed offset printing are available in gloss and silk in the range 90–200 g/m² offering consistent, reliable quality with superb runability and optimum productivity combined with a unique surface. Uncoated papers for sheet-fed and heatset web offset printing are available in a wide range of basis weights (80–300 g/m²) and offer an outstanding printability and runability combined with high bulk and very good opacity.
