STEP-1 Install Nokia PC suite in C drive, the purpose is to backup your contacts and to confirm your USB

cable is working properly. Be warned that PC suite must be installed prior to JAF, because PC

suite will overwrite JAF’s installation directory. Unplug USB cable after you see the connection is

ok using PC suite, then go ahead to STEP-2. Remarks: you can flash your N97 without Nokia PC suite being installed.

STEP-2

Hard format C drive in N97: In dial panel key in *#7370#,code:12345,the phone will restart, you

will see settings for country, date, time, language etc, just select anything for these settings, you

are going to flash another firmware anyway.

STEP-3

Format E drive in N97: As I have many pictures and data in E drive, so I will not format it.

But it will get same result if I delete the following folders. Do exactly as I say: Connect N97 and

PC, select connection method Mass Storage, then delete the following folders in this Mass

Storage:

E:\private

E:\sys

E:\system

E:\resource

E:\patches

STEP-4

Download “JAF 1.98.66 DOSPY.RAR”, download link:

http://www.rayfile.com/files/40c0c97a-dcf5-11df-a85b-0015c55db73d/ Unzip, install this JAF flash tool in C drive of PC, warning, please shut down any firewall and

antivirus software before installation. During installation, if there is one dialogue asking you

whether you need to install different version of cable driver, you better select No. PC maybe

reboot when JAF installation is finished.

STEP-5

Download “Hegazy Ultimate N97 V3.0 Rm-505 v22.0.110 fastest you ever met”. download link:

(If you flashed N97 before in this PC, then there is already a folder named Phoenix, replace it with

this new Phoenix folder) Remarks: this firmware is for RM-505,However,the new understanding is that,RM-506 and RM-507 N97 can also use this firmware.

Don’t need to change your RM or code, just flash any RM-505 firmware to your RM-506,RM507 N97 directly, just pretend that your N97

is RM-505;

STEP-6

Once again make sure all firewall and antivirus are shut down, this is super important! Run

installed JAF (the football icon in your PC desktop). Click RUN JAF 1.98.66 Beta5 (screenshot

below),a warning “P-Key dongle not detected” error pops up, ignore it, click ok to make it gone,

click again RUN JAF 1.98.66 Beta to prompt a new window(see STEP-7). Please note

sometimes it takes quite a while for this window to appear, so be patient. Special notes for Win 7 users, please follow this procedure for JAF to work properly:

1. right click on installed JAF (the football icon in your PC desktop), and then choose properties

2. on the compatibility tab, tick the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"

3. choose Windows XP Service Pack 3

4. on the Privilege Level tab, tick Run this program as an administrator

5. click ok

STEP-7

This step scares shit out of many people, by merely looking at the screenshot you will think this is

very technical and complicated thing, actually it is much easier than eating a cake. Let me tell you:

In this window, Click BB5 first to let you access to new section, then tick “Manual Flash”, “Dead

USB”, “Factory set”. Normal mode” is ticked by default, leave it. CRT 308 is ticked by default,

untick it! Check again with my screenshot below, it is this easy!

STEP-8

Still in this window, tick “Use INI”, a small window will pop up after 2-15 seconds, select your

model RM-505, then click ok. (screenshot below) Remarks: if your N97 is RM-506 or RM-507, please also select RM-505, as I said earlier, just pretend your N97 is RM-505.

STEP-9

Then JAF will automatically search directory C:\Program files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products\RM-505,

It will find the firmware successfully (screenshot below); Remarks: in future if you flash another firmware, a complete firmware contains 8 files, copy these 8 files to C:\Program

Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products\RM-505 before you delete old 8 files.

STEP-10

All right, let’s put JAF for a rest, leave it alone. Now turn off N97, connect it to PC with cable,

Nokia USB Flashing Parent driver will be updated with N97 (screenshot below). Then unplug

USB cable from N97 (with another end still remain connected with PC), Make sure the light goes

completely off in N97 screen, sometimes you should wait patiently because the light on screen

will not die off until several minutes, if the screen keeps light on for long time, you can take some

measures, for example, press power-on then power-off again, or even take battery out and place it

back.

In one word, you must make sure the phone is dead, otherwise flashing will not succeed. Remarks: Next time if you still use this JAF kept uninstalled, then you can skip STEP-10 because driver was already updated, go to

STEP-11 directly.

STEP-11

Now, hold your breath, let us flash! Click FLASH in JAF, a serious warning comes up, ignore it,

it’s bullshit, click YES (screenshot below):

STEP-12

The moment you click YES button mentioned above, immediately plug USB cable into dead N97.

Don’t be nervous, otherwise it will take too long for your dick to slide into the still-hot pussy;

Once in, that’s it, just sit back, don’t do nothing, the bitch will do everything automatically that

must be done to pleasure you.

STEP-13

If an error ever comes out “Searching for phone...Not found!!!” (Screenshot below), this is very

common, everybody gets constipation every now and then. Unplug USB, repeat STEP-11 and

STEP-12, just try several times, I assure you the shit will definitely get through your asshole. I

suggest you to buy a good USB extension cable, one end should be plugged to the USB port

located on the back of PC to get better connection. The USB cable provided by Nokia is too short.

STEP-14

If JAF finds the phone, it will display “Searching for phone...found” in Status and Results log

(screenshot below), this is great news, Miss right finds Mr right, they start to copulate intimately,

STEP-15

The whole process is done very quickly, like several minutes (screenshot below). When you see

Done! Done! in JAF Status and Results log(second screenshot below), this means the copulation is

remain white screen for a while (1-10 minutes depending on firmware), then woala, the startup

STEP-16

After startup, you will see settings for country, date, time, language etc, just select anything for

these settings, you are going to hard reset the phone anyway..

When inside the phone, let’s perform a hard reset: in dial panel input *#7370#,code:12345,the

phone will restart, now you can set your correct country, date, time, language etc.

According to many sources, hard reset after flash will make the system more stable and keep bug

away. So please just do it.

Please leave phone for 5-10 minutes without doing any operation, because some applications are

being installed on the background, when it’s done, a window will show up “Phone will restart to

finish installation”, click OK to restart the phone.

Now operation is fully finished, go to bathroom to clean yourself up.
