1) *We often eat different types of mixture. e.g. Bhel,nimbupani, tea etc. 2) Air is also mixture of number gases. 3) Mixture – When solid liquid or gaseous substances mixed together we get mixture. 4) Some time we need to separate some constituents of mixture.

Settling.
The process of soil particle collecting at the bottom is called settling.*It may not be possible to remove insoluble substance from a liquid by settling and decantation.

Filtration.
Filter-paper is used by laboratory for separating substances by straining or filtration. * The solid insoluble impurities in a liquid held back on the fiter paper. * The liquid collected after filtration is called the filtrate.

Sublimation
When some solid are heated, they change straight into a gas and not into a liquid first. This is called sublimation. *The sublimation method is used to separate sublimating substances from their mixture . e.g. Iodine, salt ammoniac , camphor, naphthalene, are sublimating sub0stances.
