INDONESIAN MASS On the 4th Sunday of every month mass is celebrated in Indonesian at 3 p.m. in the chapel (Ithaca Street). Following the mass there’s always a reception in Heafey Hall. The next mass will be celebrated October 28 at 3 pm. All are welcome to attend.

This Sunday, October 7 the first Sunday

of October and Feast of Our Lady of Holy

Rosary, a Mass in Bengali will be celebrated in

the Chapel at 4.30 P.M. Confessions will be

heard from 4.00 P.M. On this feast day, the

Congregation of Missionaries of Charity, M. C.

sisters received approval from the Vatican.

All are welcome to join this Mass. May

this new initiative grow in the spirit of

‘Communion of communities’. The other

language groups are also welcome to join this

Mass as this will be Bi-Lingual, in English

and Bengali.

After the Mass there will be a short

Condolence Prayer for Late Rev. Benjamin

Costa, CSC, an Educationist in Bangladesh,

who passed away on October 13, 2017. He was

Principal of Notre Dame College and began

University in Dhaka. Many of his students are

settled in New York and they would like to be

present for an Inter-Religious Prayer on this day

after the mass in Heafy hall. Please come and

join this condolence meeting and prayer.

MASS BOOK / LIBRO DE MISAS 2019 The mass book for 2019 will open for new intentions on Tuesday, October 9 after the 9 a.m. mass. Masses are offered for those living or deceased. The offering for each mass is $15. On Saturday at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. we offer collective intentions which means we are able to take more than one intention for the mass. If you have any questions, please speak to one of the priests. El libro de misas para el año 2019 se iniciará el martes 9 de octubre, después de la misa de las 9am, para las nuevas intenciones. DO YOU NEED A LETTER FROM YOUR CHURCH? In order to give letters of recommendation, letters attesting to character, sponsor certificates, and other documents that may have legal or religious purposes, it is required that persons requesting those documents be registered and be active members of St Bartholomew Parish at least three months prior to your request. We can not provide any of these documents to people not registered in the parish.

SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION (Confession) There are two times every Saturday for confessions in the main church: 4 pm and 6:30 pm. Also Thursday at 6:30pm in the Chapel. We now have two priests assigned during these times to make it convenient and less time to wait. Please do your part…. come as close as possible to these confession times. Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity of God’s mercy and love.

NECESITA UNA CARTA DE SU IGLESIA? Para poder otorgar cartas de recomendación, de buen carácter moral, como para ser padrinos de algún sacramento y documentos para propósitos legales o religiosos, se requiere que quienes necesitan estos documentos, estén inscritos y sean miembros activos de la Parroquia de San Bartolomé por lo menos tres meses antes de su solicitud. No podemos entregar ninguna certificación a las personas que no cumplan con estos requisitos.

SACRAMENTO DE RECONCILIACIÓN (Confesión) Los sábados las confesiones en la iglesia principal son a las 4 pm y 6:30 p.m., también los jueves a las 6:30 pm en la capilla.
