Printed film acquires static charges due to contact and separation from idler rollers and die cutters. The static charges can be as high as 30 kV, or more. It is essential to eliminate the static charges from the film at the time it is wound on the rewinder in order to enhance quality, avoid shocks to operator and mitigate the risk of spark / fire. Solution Valstat ® VR 20 / VR 80 active AC and DC static discharging bars are recommended on the rewinders as shown above. The AC and DC static eliminating bars provide the advantage of eliminating the static charges with ranges up to 600 mm and hence are ideally suited for this application.

Valstat®
VR 20 / VR 80 active AC and DC static discharging bars are recommended on the rewinders as
