Welcome to this summer’s Stark Scene. For many of us, our first memories of using a public library are of

summer reading programs and story times. This summer’s reading program is going to be an outstanding one. “Forests Green, Oceans Blue and Books Read” is an exciting melding of programming and reading opportunities for the whole family. Not only will our buildings be submerged in this exciting theme, but our bookmobiles and Kidmobiles will be out amongst you as well. The programming concepts and accompanying art work were developed by SCDL’s talented staff. This is not a “canned” reading curriculum but one which our staff created collaboratively.

Relax, sit back, stay cool, and partake of 2010 Summer Reading Club. It’s summertime, and the reading is easy!
