They defeated the Holcomb Longhorns 23-20 at home on Nov. 1. The girls were leading by more than 10 points at the half. Holcomb caught up and kept the girls from scoring much in the final minutes. The Lady Mustangs were able to hold on for the win. The girls beat Oakley 32-17 on Tuesday. They were scheduled to play Colby at home on Thursday while the seventh grade traveled to Colby. Both junior high teams will play next at 3:30 p.m. (Mountain Time) Tuesday at Oakley. A Goodland High School student will be among those competing at the Sixth Annual Northwest Kan- sas All-Star Volleyball Classic this weekend in Colby. Paige Phillips will be playing on Team 3 in the Colby Community College-sponsored five-team tour- nament, which features high school senior volleyball players from around northwest Kansas. Games begin at noon (Mountain Time) Sunday in the Colby Com- munity Building.
